Compare this year's Tigers to your fav NFL team from the past...

I'll go first - 1980 Cleveland Browns (aka the Kardiac Kids)
A team that featured two awesome running backs, a good ball-control QB, and some nasty defense. Lost a couple up front, found their mojo and went on to win some real heart-stoppers.
If Vegas hadn't paid off Cheatin' Sam in the playoffs against the Raiders, he would have kicked the short field goal to win instead of going all Les Miles and throwing an interception when a pass wasn't needed (Les got lucky that game - the Browns, not so much...)
Offensive cast comparison:
Danny Etling - Brian Sipe
Derrius Guice - Greg Pruitt
Leonard Fournette - Mike Pruitt
Ozzy Newsome - The Wizard of Oz is hard to beat - maybe DeSean Smith (with more playing time in a real offense?)
Reggie Rucker - DJ Chark
Dave Logan (the ULTIMATE possession receiver until Wes Welker and Marques Colston came along) - This year I don't know, but could have been Trey Quinn if he stayed.
Now, for the fun stuff...
Defensive Cast Comparison
Lyle Alzado - Arden Key
Jerry Sherk - I thought it might have been Unicorn Valentine, but now I'm not so sure....
Dick Ambrose (BamBam) - Duke Riley
Clay Matthews (yes, the father of Clay) - Kendall Beckwith
Dino Hall - Dante Jackson (Dino was fun to watch as a KR).
Man, was that a fun team to watch back in the day. I just hope that our season ends better than theirs did (but with SEC refs, ya never know....).
Just for fun, 'yall. Anybody else?

One of those New Orleans Saints teams from my youth.
Great defense....excellent RB's......Good QB...would be a playoff team EXCEPT they happen to be in the same division as the BEST team going (San Francisco 49ers)

Ouch. I remember those days as well. Was it just me, or did the Saints back then feel like a team where all the players went to get good, and then get traded to another team (Chuck Muncie, anyone? Dude was a bad-arse running with BCG's!!!)
