im not talking about the last 5 seconds i'm talking about 1st play after Chad jones returned the kickoff..We threw on 1st down when the ref got in the way then went downfield to lafell for 30 yrds why not a shorter pass instead...thats all...

A quarterback sneak had a better chance at success than did that call. That call has made me serious consider if Miles can stay as HC at LSU. It was the worst coaching decision I have ever seen. No chance at sucess at all.

It really wasnt that big a deal. There are many worse things about the game than that last second prayer for a miracle.

A 63 yard FG against the wind has no chance. We have a 1% chance to win by throwing the bomb, maybe .05% chance doing the hook and ladder. Maybe a .03% chance to throw a quick 10 yard out an try a FG.
Kicking a 63 yard FG has no chance. It would have required divine intervention. We could have made it easier on the almighty by trying anything else.
Miles had to have thought it was 53 yards. That is all I can imagine. If he knew it was 63 yards in the wind he will not last.
I have never ever said anything negative about Miles before this thread.

IT was maybe the dumbest call I've ever seen Miles make, and he's called fake punts out of his endzone before.
It was bad. You've got tall receivers and a QB with a huge arm..you have a better shot getting it in the endzone than making that field goal.

You never make that FG. Tom Dempsey in his prime can't make it. 63 yards into the wind = 70+ yards. He got all of it a drove it low and well. It two hoped out of the endzone. It was a good kick! Colt has a hell of a leg and will go down as the best FG kicker LSU has had. That kick was friggin insane.

A. Colt David doesn't even have the leg to kick it 63 yards in normal conditions.
B. He was kicking against the wind in rainy conditions.
A hail mary to the end zone would of at least gotten to the endzone with guys like 6'5 TT, 6'4 DP, 6'3 BL, 6'2 DB and 6'3 RD able to possibly make a grab. A Hail Mary is probably somewhere around a 1% chance for success, which in my book is always better than 0% (the stupid FG attempt).
I have no freaking clue what Les was thinking.

Probably not, but he can get it pretty close.

Absolutely. It only would of been about a 50 yard throw MAX and he has a strong arm.

A QB sneak has a chance to go all the way. Maybe a .0087% chance. But that chance is .0087% better than kicking a 63 yard FG in the wind.

I did too.
I honestly thought he dialed up some last desperation play for the year. Heck, that double hook-n-latteral like we ran against UGA would of been a great call right there.

Throw the bomb and hope for pass interference or the catch....the kick was dumb...Miles needs to stop watching the Raiders games..
