The best part is that we haven't even lost a series yet.

God help us if we lose one of the two midweek games this week.

LSU scored 2.6 runs per game (including 3 extra innings in game one)

This means absolutely nothing. You are pointing out two weekends out of an entire baseball season and basing your opinion on the ability of their pitching staff on that. You must not watch much baseball.

Everyone else in the thread is right, it is time to move on. 20% of this season is over with and you are still complaining about our lack of ability to hit the ball over a three game stretch last season. They don't compare. We have a COMPELTELY different lineup than we did in any of those games.

Glad to see rouge and choup come and shite all over this thread with their typical nonsense.

God forbid we dont score 10 runs by the end of 6th inning every game and the team has to be hitting .350 or better. Also cant ever have a couple off games against a good team last year like Stony Brook. Posters like that love to conveniently leave out we scored 22 runs the first 4 games of our regional/super regional then just went cold the last 2 games against SB. It happens, it's baseball. SB also had a few good pitchers we had to face, sorry, but if you drafted late out of college you have to be pretty good.

Right and one of these games is probably going to consist primarily of a full bullpen effort due to playing 5 games in a week. We could very well drop one of these 2 games.

It's not. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother posting here. I know some people that talk like this IRL. They will argue with you until they are blue in the face and you are at a loss for words because of the stupid and then, because you have nothing else to say, THEN they will drop the...so you finally see my point?

A college baseball team is not going to go undefeated. It isn't going to happen. It isn't. You aren't going to win by 10 runs in 7 every game and you aren't going to win the series every year. Unfortunately, and embarrassingly, the season is a complete and total fricking loss to the point every player and coach is trashed if you don't win the series every year. And the butthurt carries over. I can't believe people aren't still bitching about UCLA in 2010.

Not according to choup. He said getting drafted in the 26th round is nothing. Anyone who follows baseball would know that. I guess the second half of the MLB draft is all rag arms.

How many of their rag arm pitchers were drafted? Their pitching staff was bad,

Two of their pitchers who pitched against LSU in the SR last June were drafted.

James Campbell, was drafted by the L.A. Dodgers and Tyler Johnson, was drafted by the Oakland A's.

Their pitcher who beat us in game 3, Frankie Vanderka, and who was the losing pitcher in the 12 inning first game, was a draft ineligible sophomore last season. He was named the America East Conference Pitcher of the Week in his first start this season throwing 6 scoreless innings.

He is projected to be drafted this coming June.

Your statement about their pitching makes you look pretty foolish.

I already pointed these guys out to him and that they all pitched against us. He told me I don't follow baseball because one of them was drafted in the 26 round and one was in the 33rd.

ETA: FYI - there were 3, not just 2.

What he said is that they weren't drafted high enough to be a big deal.

I wonder which round he was drafted in?

Right that's what I am saying. I guess the second half of the entire MLB draft is just rag arms then.

Who was the third pitcher drafted other than the two I mentioned?

I went to the Stony Brook baseball web page and it only has two of their pitchers from last year as being drafted.

But three is better than two.

Choupique is a baseball negatiger. Always has been. He knows more about college baseball than all the rest of us combined.

Yeah, and you shite all over the thread with nonsense. Sorry we dont score 10 runs by the 6th inning every game. It's never going to happen, especially with the BBCOR bats now. This isn't the 1990s anymore. You are going to have win quite a few games by 2-1 type scores now with bats very similar to wood. EVERY team has games where they dont score some runs now. MSU is a very very good hitting team and put up 2,3 and 4 runs on St. Joseph's this weekend. They had a 2 run game vs. Portland. They had a 2 run game against GRAMBLING. They had a 3 run game against Purdue. They still won all of those games, because EVERYONE has some games now where you have to win with pitching.

He sure is. Even the Stony Brook site left him off their press announcement about the draft but I see from his bio that he was drafted by the Cubs just as you say. Thanks!

why are you so mad?

i have an opinion that is different from yours. so what? keep it together and steer clear of the personal insults. it really does not help your case

and i've already said that this is evidence that i believe that MSU is not as good of a hitting team as people want to give them credit for, much like LSU....so there's that

So what teams are good at hitting? Obviously hitting over .300 as a team isn't good enough. What is?

Your opinion is worthless because you nitpick every tiny little thing when this is baseball. It's not football, it's baseball. There are a ton of games for a reason, you dont win them all, you dont score 10 runs every game, you dont get the best from your best every time. Every team has had and will have games where they don't score a lot runs regardless of how good their offense is. It's BASEBALL. I also never personally insulted you, I said you shite on the thread with nonsense, which you did and others have plentifully pointed out.

Good so every team in the next couple of weeks will fall into the same category for you. There wont be 1 good offensive team in college baseball because they all will have failed to put up 10 runs in some game vs. a bad team.
