Colin Jeter - the guy nobody talked about all offseason

Anyone else been impressed with his play so far? He is a huge asset in the pass game being a matchup nightmare from the TE spot at 6'7 244. It seems Harris likes him more than even Desean Smith. Jeter has been a nice find out of JUCO. I remember him being a late addition to the 2014 class too where he signed in the summer of 2014 right before players were reporting. Unranked by the services.

ALMOST came down with that catch after the big hit.

Honestly he looks like the best natural pass catcher on the team. Very impressed with his hands

He impressed me last year, but I thought he was a senior then. I was suprised to see him out there again.

Is he a sophomore or junior?

Junior. Spent freshman season at JUCO

Did Dillon Gordon play much yesterday? Looks like Jeter may have passed him, no?

Is Gordon more less a Run Blocker most of the time? Dude is as big as a left tackle. Lord almighty that kid is huge

He has a great story as well. Jeter was a commit to the Airforce Academy. His mom was diagnosed with cancer the summer before school while he was in training. He decided to stay home to help take care of her. Played a year of JUCO, and got found by the Tigers.

Different person ell groupings Gordon in on run plays only most times. Meter true dual threat good receiver good open field blocker too.

Im excited. He's got potential to be a great receiving tight end and he's already throwing deadly blocks out there too. He's the total package.

Gordon went to the locker room early in the game and I don't remember seeing him after that.

There's another thread about him. Apparently he was nicked.

I didn't pay much (if any) attention to Jeter when he was signed; he looked good. Sorry to learn of his Mom's illness. Hope she is better.
Settling in to watch Buga dominate on SECN replay.

Gordon was injured on the 2nd drive of the game, Miles said an "Achilles type" injury, but is "minor". So not sure what that means. the top 2 blocking TEs were Jeter and Moreau after Gordon went down.

play action fake to LF, throw to Colin Jeter on out route.
Tongue-in-Cheek here.... I did talk about him some. Obviously the toss-dive was the first play. He was mentioned here and there during camp.
Appears he is a fast learner, and at minimum has some talent. Ok blocker from what I've seen; and not talking about arse here, just enough with the angles and technique where they don't pull him on all running plays.
Even though we're not passing a bunch, he keeps finding soft spots and is drawing LB attention. Looks like he has a nack for that.
