Notre Dame in 97. Temps in the 20s before the game ended...and we got our asses kicked.

Psh. I was in NOLA wearing flip flops watching this game outdoors.

Sidenote: My feet were very cold.

Coldest LSU GAME I've been to was the Liberty Bowl game against Baylor, in the 80's. It was COLD and they beat us bad.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner. I was eleven. Been to almost ever game since the early seventies and while some were pretty damn cold, this was the coldest.

The Arkansas game in 2003 was pretty chilly. Sunny day, but the wind was howling.

West side was bundled up. We were in shirtsleeves on the east side.

Gld others agree. Ole Miss's kicker choked on a 30 yard (or so) game tying FG attempt that was missed wide right. I have to think the cold and wind affected that kick. Fond memory of that game...a week before the "Pigs Flew" game @ Bama. I was really starting to think we were gonna turn the corner, not just for that season, but as a program year in and out. Jay Johnson was starting to become a heck of a tailback and Jermaine Williams was becoming a respectable hybrid full/half back, too. The defense was playing nasty. Then, Arky stomped us in our bid to be bowl eligible.

1993 was Curly's best.

As for hottest...it was A&M '92 and away hottest was a year before against A&M in College Station.

The atmosphere was there, despite the cold as we were still very much in contention for the west and Bama was on probation. I actually thought we'd do well in that game. We were coming off of Bluegrass Miracle prior, I believe, so the disguise of a good team was still slightly covering us up.

You're right, though. Piss poor game. The highlight of the entire game was a fake punt run up the middle by Bradie James. It was a decent game for most of the first half until Bama started getting 20 yards a pop on nothing but toss sweeps, ISOs, and blasts. They made it 14 zip just before the half. It went from 35 degrees to -8 in there as that happened. Nothing sucks worse than losing in Siberian weather.
