his numbers dont look great but with that kind of size and potential no tellin what we could do to him in tiger town

His ERA isn't that great, but opponents are hitting .234 against and he is averaging 10.71 Ks per nine innings.

So is he going to Omaha next year with Louisville? Just so you know, Louisville just celebrated 100 years of Louisville baseball - they've made it to the tournament twice in that 100 years.

doclsu08, I just found out I like you a whole lot better. Cubs fan! Me, too buddy! We take a beating on here sometimes from the countless Astros fans, but it's all in fun.

Just so you know, Louisville made it to Omaha in 2007, Dan McDonnell's first year there as head coach.

Yes, and I'm sure he's never leaving Louisville, even if offerred a higher salaried job by a program with a better recruiting base and better weather.

It's relevant if you are pointing to the coach ( a former Ole Miss assistant) as a reason to expect a program that has made the field of 64 2 times in its history to suddenly be a national power.

Who said they would be a national power, I just said it isn't laughable to go there for a chance at playing in Omaha. Obviously you can skew perception by saying they only made the tournament 2 time in the programs history. I think it's more appropriate to point out that they made it to Omaha within the last two years.

By the way, McDonnell only makes $25k less than George Horton, not exactly chump change.

who said anything about louisville being a national power? there is a differece in makin omaha and being a national power. and the fact that they made it in 07 means that maybe this is a program on the rise

Assuming the kid has offers from all SEC schools, which is the quote I was responding to, I'd be willing to make a large wager that he has a significantly better chance at Omaha with an upper echelon SEC school than he would with Louisville.

that's a valid point.

What isn't valid is to assert that Louisville's program sucks because they've only made the NCAA tourney twice in their history, especially since they've made it 3 times this decade and each of the last two years.

You know what Helenihi ain't playing at a fricking juco.....he might be having a down year so far but he ain't at a juco and he has seen the field a good bit at LSU which is a helluva a lot more than we can say for Cody fricking Reine.......where the hell do you get off calling an LSU baseball player garbage when you are talking up a JUCO guy that couldn't cut it at LSU get the frick out of here douchebag

EDIT: oh yeah left out that Helenihi already played in the College World Series I would bet on the fact that Reine never will

by all accounts, Wise had a bad attitude, obviously by the fact that Mainieri didn't even want him back even though he was willing to pay his own way.
