It is the coaches responsibility to prepare a football team to execute,is it not? It is also the coaches responsibilty to instill discilpline to minimize mistakes on the field, right?

TigerFan in Katy, then would you put the blame on our recruiting or coaching because I personally believe we have some talent on the field and if they are not performing up to their talent level, whose fault is that , the players themselves or the coach or coaches?

In the huddle, the players look at the QBs demeanor and leadership for inspiration. The players should be self-motivated, but Mett deameanor looked as one of self-doubt in the huddle and the players can sense that. In the second-half that seemed to change a bit along with the interior pass-protection performing better. Were there any changes in the interior of the line going into the second half or did the line just begin to jell a bit? It appears to me they will get better and as they do, the QB's confidence will grow.

What I will add is that this needs to be the locked-down o-line and less shuffling players in and out on it.

Yep, and I thought they were saying that they were ready for this season to avenge what happened in N.O. I say they were bullshiting and forgot 1-9. I know attrition, early departures, and injuries have hit us hard but we still have a great core of experience and exceptional youth and Washington under our belt...No Excuses for this current product that we have seen the last 2 weeks. Coaching is the root of the execution, play calling, turnovers, and the shitty morale and undisciplined players runnning around looking lost

The same players from last year took care of the ball. It's a crazy situation but what can the coaches do?

I submit that you sir have never played ball.

You do not understand what is going on.

The blame lies at the feet of your coaching staff in preparing, motivating and discpline.

Only two of the fumbles really, really bother me.

Hilliards at the goal line, and Ware's.

Mett's fumble was a great defensive play and what we are taught to do when sacking a qb, ESP from behind, which is swatting down at the arm and ball

Ford's fumble in the red zone was just the defender putting his helmet right on the ball. Ford had the ball in the outside arm, but the guy hit it perfectly. Would like to see him put both hands on the ball when he gets into a Lil traffic

Ware's was inexcusable. The guy just reached in and pried his fingers off the ball. Ware has to run with 5 points of pressure on the ball.

Hilliard goal line fumble was, idk, just sad. Glad we recovered that one

the players didn't want to play this game. they want florida. and it's obvious the fans didn't want this game either. so nobody showed up. but we won and it's time to move on to florida. and, the coaches DO NOT CONTROL the players emotions. influence it, yes but people are not robots. ask any person that has managed a staff of people. this game was shite and we all should have known that in advance. it was awful to schedule them and everyone got what they deserved. college football ain't what it used to be; it's damn near semi-pro now and the revenues generated seem to be the most important aspect of it, period.

Looking at offense since Flynn graduated...... I can't help but wonder where Miles would be if he didn't land Chief?

Just a thought.

You know, that is a pretty sharp point, I believe! The D is what LSU has been known for. Leslie is very lucky to have the Chief.

Why do you think if a coach freaks out like a jackass on the sidelines that it's a good thing. I can show you plenty of good coaches that are always calm on the sidelines. You want your coach melting down like Pelini and Kelly?

This was a Les plan. Play like crap and Florida will be overlooking us. Boy the first part worked, stay tuned for Saturday.

Do we have the "chest for victory".

Now I feel horrible that LSU's only lost 1 game in the last 19.

Not really.
