"Four LSU assistants are scheduled to receive built-in raises on Jan. 1, including recruiting coordinator and running backs coach Frank Wilson ($15,000), special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto ($50,000), offensive line coach Jeff Grimes ($37,500) and defensive backs coach Corey Raymond ($10,000).

Each coach received a bonus of at least $10,000 for the Tigers qualifying for a bowl game. LSU coach Les Miles got a $100,000 bonus for the postseason game. The total staff bowl bonus amounts to $210,000."

Looks like BDP aint going nowhere. $50K raise for doing jack diddly nothing. At least we got Wilson, Raymond, and Grimes a raise. Good assistants and can actually coach. Just give Raymond some more time to adjust under Steele and let Grimes figure things out. We have some stud recruits here/coming in ready to learn!!

I wonder if they would get a bonus for making any bowl, no matter how shitty. Cus that's just dumb. Have to have some standards.

Giving Wilson and Raymond raises imo was the biggest move. Let those guys know that they are welcome and appreciated here. Give Grimes more time (should have been less of a raise), and BDP= NO WAY IN HELL

the 210K is 16.5% of the off the payout LSU receives for the bowl, prior to expenses and shared conference revenue

I agree. I think you only have to win 6 games to be bowl eligible. If they played all games in conference it would be a little more meaningful, but with W. Kent, E Mich, and ULM on the schedule even Chizik could coach this team to 6 victories.

I think it's pretty standard for coaches to get a bonus for going to a bowl game. There may be a higher bonus for a ny6, cfp, nc, but a base bonus for a regular bowl game is somethingthat is probably in every coach's contract.

No pay raise for next year. Wonder what is going on. Maybe some type of contract thing because Steele didnt get one either (imo jury is still out on Steele). Could be that first yr coaches/assistants dont get a raise until their second year
