I want to echo this. Saban has the luxury of having the best kids in the nation at every position virtually. I mean he's starting to stack Heisman RB's!!!

But I recall Jim Finks basically making the same statement about the Saints having pedestrian QB's. He used Vince Ferragamo of the Rams as an example. JIM WAS WRONG. The Saints didn't have a good enough offense to win a Super Bowl with an average QB, although they made the playoffs a few times with Hebert and Walsh.

I downvoted because it has nothing to do with LSU and because I hate Alabama.

How many games did Harris lose last year? You can't in no way pin any of those 3 losses on him.

Yeah, what an idiot. The Rant knows that championships revolve around great play at QB and a potent offense.

I feel bad that our QB's cop all the heat. No qb could step up and complete only on 3rd and longs or when the run game is stopped.
Except LSU passed more on 1st down than any other.

He threw a pick in bad field position down 3 against Bama.

And we have no idea how many bad calls he may have made? I'm a Harris fan, but the average fan like us has no idea regarding how he graded out. Folks just quote stats

Shows how different LSU's standard of QB play is. Much lower bar.

I mean, this is not exactly a secret. It's even been true at times for LSU

LSU has not won any big games in about 3-4 years. So it hasn't been true at all.

Our TE position will not have that ability in the I-Formation. They're too big and bulky, and Les purposely wants them that way.

For instance, Dillon Gordon less than a year removed from LSU is now the size of an NFL guard. He was also injured last season on a play where he was asked to roll out and catch a pass.

Desean Smith could have been great, and he'll probably make some noise in the NFL. I'd be shocked if he caught 10 passes this year.

There's a reason we have these athletic tight ends come in and fall behind the big fat feaux TE who's basically just another OL without any threat to catch a pass.

There's a reason Jeter was ragged on last season when JD Moore went out, and it's because Jeter wasn't big and fat, he was nimble and quick for his size.

Do we utilize the built in advantages? Hell no, we see it as a "disadvantage " because of our stupid offense.

Those are all things the average upperclassmen does better than the average freshman or sophomore.

Here is where I will point out that every QB to start for Bama under Saban has had more time in college ball than either starting QB at LSU the last two years.

As we saw in the Bama game last year, a QB has to make a defense honest. For another example, McCarron did this in the Mulligan Bowl when he had not done it in the GOTC. If Harris can it this year, we will be a special team.

You do realize that Sims and Coker had no playing time or game experience before they became the starters right? Sims was a converted WR and both just held a clipboard until their Sr. season.

I love shite like this, folks that discount the SEC wins, or SEC road wins, or wins in Neutral site games against Power 5 conf teams, or wins against top 10 teams.

If he's not 100% correct I don't know who is? Haven't we all said the same thing about BH?
