What about Florida?

They will get crushed by Bama in the SEC championship. Should take a good tumble in the rankings after that.

Sagarin this morning has ranked LSU #9 and Auburn #12 hopefully the final rankings have some who will think that way and jump us over Auburn.

LSU ended the season with an impressive win in an away game while Aubbie got spanked by big brother.

So even with our loss to Aubbie there's a chance for the Sugar Bowl...slim but possible.

Fingers crossed...

No he's not. It's really simple. Try reading slower.

Having a purely committee based system allows more influence....

Do I need to break that down more for you? Or do you not think that a purely human system from a single committee can't be influenced?

Let me help you out. The National Title game had to take the top 2 highest ranked teams. Guess where Bama ended up in the Harris and Coaches Polls?

You so smart!!!

Yes. People want him to coach O-line. Not run the entire goddamn program.

A committee still ranks the teams.

So Saban didn't campaign for the NC in 2011?

Bama was number two in the BCS poll and had been for 3 weeks. 1 and 2 played if I remember correctly. Been hard to jump Bama when they won their final game 49-14. Never seen that done. If OSU doesn't lose to ISU you get to play them but OSU was not number two and got jumped. Bama was a pretty dam solid number 2 and had been for weeks.

Contractually, if Auburn does not fall past LSU in the next playoff rankings, Auburn goes to the Sugar Bowl as the highest ranked non playoff participant.

Ten teams ranked above LSU that lost over the long football weekend according to ESPN.

3 - Michigan
11 - Louisville
13 - Auburn
15 - Florida
16 - Nebraska
17 - Tennessee
19 - Bosie St
20 - Houston
22 - Utah
23 - Washington St

LSU is #25 in the AP poll and unranked in the CFP standings for now.

CFP's next ranking comes out this Tuesday at 7:00PM.

Will be interesting to see how we are ranked this Tuesday and after the SECG Dec 3rd when final CFP rankings come out on Dec 4th at noon.

First, LSU doesn't deserve to go over a team they lost to, I don't care "how" we lost. We aren't a blue blood and won't get that type of treatment.

Second, LSU not being a blue blood hurts bc every time we lose we fall a lot. It is amazing to me to watch this happen. LSU loses a close one to Bama? Drop them 10+ spots. LOL.

Blue bloods like Michigan lose to Iowa? Well they don't fall.

We aren't going to the Sugar Bowl. We fell too far after our loses. This is what happens when you are a Tier 2 program. Your margin for error is razor thin. We lost it when we lost to UF.

It depends which LSU team they decide to measure. If the voters go with the entire body of work, they will go with Auburn. If they decide to weigh more heavily the team post Miles/Cameron, the 5-2 Tigers with a good showing against Alabama and a fluky loss to Florida, LSU would get the nod over Auburn. Lets dust off "the eyeball test" that ESPN invented to give us a rematch against Saban. I bet I know who they would pick if their lives depended on it.
