Coach O and Dennis Johnson

People need to realize that Jimmy Johnson of the Miami Hurricanes gave Coach O, a graduate assistant, a chance to be defensive line coach at Miami. That turned out to be a success. Maybe, Coach O sees the same qualities in Dennis Johnson that Jimmy Johnson saw in Coach O.

Agreed. Dennis you don't need to come on here and try to impress us. Just go out and get us some big "thump"er at ILB a la Devin White. You go get me 2, 230+ LB inside linebackers this recruiting cycle and I'm a believer you can coach 'em up.

Since it's an accepted fact that Coach O lets his position coaches coach, I feel it is safe to say that Coach Aranda, as DC, had a lot to say with this promotion. No way this hire happens if Coach Aranda is against it.

All jokes aside.... CEO has been on a metric shite ton of championship winning coaching staffs. I trust his judgment thus far as to the coaches he's hired, fired and promoted.

Dennis Johnson busted his butt as a G.A. and worked very closely with O when O was D-line Coach... O saw first hand how dedicated the young guy is to the profession...
