They did not provide him with enough time. Also, I believe he has learned much from that experience as seen by his time as the USC interim

Dont think he had a ton there to start. He got players. Just didnt have short term success. They were good right after. The talent was there maybe he could have turned it on.

Ed has said he was so nervous and tried to be a tough coach instead of being himself and he regrets it. Just because he didnt win at Ole Miss doesn't mean he couldn't win here

True story about BEBE at OM: The Friday night before the Georgia game in 06, some of the guys from the team got a drinking ticket on the square. Coach O picked them up from the Lafayette county lockup at like 3AM and made them do sprints on the field until they puked. It was an 11:00 game. They obviously we're completely gassed during the game and played like crap. Ole Miss lost.

I was at Ole Miss during the Ed O regime.

He had absolutely no institutional control, he was the worst gameday coach I've ever seen in the NCAA, hired bad assistants and didn't give good ones any room to do their thing, and while he recruited well, he didn't manage the program even close to a respectable level. He was an absolute laughing stock.

He went 6-2 as interim at USC in the Pac-12 using a system and coordinators already in place.

He absolutely is not good enough to be HC at LSU.

Period.

I love him recruiting for us and being a cheerleader on the sidelines, but he is not LSU HC caliber.

No, I did not.

Not even fricking close. Miles has almost always had a solid defense, has won a shite ton of games, and has no where CLOSE to the lack of institutional control that Orgeron had.

Orgeron was one of the worst head coaches this conference has ever seen.

It was bedlam with that football program under him.
