It cuts off before the big moment.

Les
It takes a real idiot to think LSU is having 10 win season after 10 win season thanks to Saban 9 years after he last coached at LSU.

No doubt preparing for the big "lean in". Geez, I want to see that again. I want to freeze it.

Les is awesome. I got a feeling the sec network is going to be a gump love fest.

I hate his smug comment about supporting the nine game schedule and keeping the permanent opponent. I hate the douche.

And then they mocked him with the Les clap at the end? Man, he's a good sport.
It really is amazing the restraint Miles displays in the face of the outright disrespect these nerd hacks show him. And it's the lame wannabes like Lugenbill, Michael Smith or Dari Nokah(sp) that do it, not the better guys like SVP, Palmer, or even Cowherd.
I mean, bringing out a fricking plate of grass to this massively successful multi-millionaire professional at the absolute pinnacle of his field because a camera caught him slipping a blade of grass in his mouth four years ago??? Oh, while he happened to be outcoaching the other guy in a battle of top teams.
Almost any other coach would be pissed and just look at those ungrateful and unfunny wannabe critics and be like what the hell do you want me to do with that?? But Les plays along and bails out their lame arse attempt at humor and makes it less of a disaster.
Then Smith mocks him AGAIN by doing "the clap", almost in his face, to try to end the interview but Miles shuts his arse down to say something genuine and of substance, probably the only time that will happen all week during this Carwash time filling exercise, and at least two of the three are too fricking dumb to even realize that he just threw down a gauntlet at their new colleague, and go right back to mocking him about "the clap". And again, Les plays along, while adding one more subtle wink to the scolded youngster, all while keeping it cordial on the surface.
A scrub beat writer like Smith making peanuts to act like a big shot cause he's on TV should be thankful a successful man like Miles has the class and humility to play along and not pull the plug on his lazy uninformed attempt at an "interview".
Damn I can't wait to see this staff and recruiting classes come together over the next few years. Les is going to have a blast watching that 800 pound gorilla that he's created on the loose once again.

thought that was completely busch league... but les went right along with it.
what a bunch of clowns. I hope Les runs the god damn table with this team and shuts everyone up. He needs to shake off this stench from the end of the 2011 season that still lingers around the fanbase.

I honestly think that bothers you more than Les. Hell, Les did an ESPN commercial about the grass eating business. I don't mind all of that. It makes him unique. They love him for it. I think he disappointed the media during SEC Media Days because he was pretty straight and low key. He was low key all day and that frustrated them again. I think that's Les messin' with them.
McElroy is really much nerdier than I thought. He's got zero personality as far as being in the media. Having watched him several times, I can't for the life of me, figure out how he got the job or what numbskull thought it was a good idea.

mcelroy thinks he's smarter than everyone in the room. he's not likeable at all as a talking head. he won't last long at ESPN.
you know it's bad when david pollack is more likeable than you

McElroy must be Danny Kannel's protege.
Posted on 7/21/14 at 10:36 pm to Gris Gris
Yeah, I thought so too & if can't improve his "Woodie" (Toy Story) personality I can't see him staying past his initial contract. Him & "Pawwwl" will not fly outside of Alabama & the ESPN/SEC Network ain't got enough MOJO to help make it with their baggage.

I like kannel, but he was terrible today too. They were all terrible with their amateurish bullshite.
Les knows McElroy's last game vs. LSU probably eats him up inside.

I get the commercial. It's scripted, recorded, and most importantly, it's FUNNY. The ESPN commercial writers are true, Emmy winning pros.
But these constant bits by these "anchors" during live interviews, including props, four years later is just tired and it puts Miles in the awkward position of trying to "be funny" so the bit doesn't fall flat. It's just lazy "journalism" on their part because they simply aren't clever enough to come up with new material that will engage viewers and draw Miles into an actual conversation. It shows what hacks they are and I doubt Les enjoys being on the spot to be "Wacky Les!!" while these morons skip doing their homework, which is to put together a decent segment.

Completely agree there. He really is a zero. And just looks like a nerd. Didn't know this before this thread but apparently his dad is a big shot with the Cowboys/Jerry Jones and some strings were pulled.
I truly hope Spears and Booger don't make LSU alums look as lame as McElboy has for the Tide

Well, you better get used to the grass, the hat, the clap and the rest because it's not going anywhere and you can expect it nearly every time there's an interview of this type with Les.
