Coach Johnny Jones Media Event

The latest from Coach Jones as we approach the start of the season with an exhibition game on Monday.
this is from the LSU sports page, LINK
Here are a few quotes:
On starters for Monday's exhibition...
"We'll probably have a great chance of starting (Anthony) Hickey at the one, and Johnny (O'Bryant III) at the five. (Eddie) Ludwig would definitely be at the four spot for us right now. Andre Stringer has been really good at the two for us. It will depend on how healthy we are come Monday if anything will change by then."
This makes sense as he wants to start with experience and guys who have played together first. From what else he said it looks like the other starter will be Shavon Coleman with Malik Morgan getting a lot of playing time.
On Malik Morgan's progression...
"He's very coachable. He's a young man that's eager to really learn. I can tell you that he's a lot further along in this short period of time than I thought he would be.
On Shavon Coleman's improvement...
"Unfortunately for Shavon, we have had him working inside and out. He's one of the few guys we have that we have that we're very comfortable working on the perimeter. We wanted him to possibly come in and play more small forward for us. He's been playing a lot of power forward; he's very capable of defending in there. He's long. He's quick off the floor, a good athlete. He's very capable of shooting the ball from outside, and he can put it on the deck as well. Shavon is more of the combo guy inside and outside. We are really impressed with him, and his energy level he plays in the way that each day that he comes to practice with the eagerness. The temperament he has come to practice with has helped our team as well."
It was also announced that three walkons have joined the team.
Joshua Badeaux - RS Sophomore - BRCC/Central Lafourche HS, Galliano, La.
Mychal Williams - RS Junior - Airline HS, Bossier City, La.
Dave Jackson -Sophomore - Highland CC/Central Private HS, Port Allen, La.
Anyone know their positions and how tall they are?

I don't. But honestly this is the first time in a VERY long time that I (as a football first, baseball second, basketball tied with T&F kinda guy) have been really excited about BBall. CJJ has been making some really solid pick ups.

I work with Dave Jackson who goes by DJ.....I believe he's a 2. I'm 6'2 so he's around 6'4 I guess with a good sized body.

Although Coach Jones is an enthusiastic optimist, I detect a tone from this talk that hints of needed development from the team. It hurts that Carmouche is injured and Jalen Courtney is gimpy.
Also, it looks like the starters are all from last year's team, although the starter at the three was not announced.
Because of lack of depth, injuries and the need for development under a new system, this team may start slow. However I believe they have the talent to become a very competitive team.
We are all Johnny Jones fans. He has done a great job since he arrived. His recruiting has been excellent (hopefully including Jarrell Martin) and the future is extremely bright!!! We need to stay behind him even if the team looks a little rough in the early part of the season.

I think most people paying attention now are more serious b-ball fans, so they'll be pretty understanding of the lack of talent Big Bird Rogers left behind.

Central Lafourche and galliano does not compute.
I believe he went to South Lafourche and is a guard, 6'-2"
