For sure. I think Cannizaro is the same sort of hire that Aranda is. You get one of the best young Assistants to hopefully win a championship soon because within a few years, he is moving on up. Deservedly so.

Exactly how I feel about it. I'd like to see Cannizaro transition into the job here, but I'm not sure you'd be able to keep Dunn on staff unless he really is satisfied with his role.

I think Cannizaro is on the fast track to be a head coach.
Part of the reason Dunn left MLB was the time commitment. He does like the pitching aspect of the job, I don't know how much he wants the extra title of head coach and all that comes with it, I could see Bama making a run at him if Gaspard is fired.

I'm not sure CPM is going anywhere anytime soon. If Cannizaro can make LSU one of the best hitting teams in the SEC this year, I wouldn't let him go anywhere.

I really thought he was older than 58. I guess the best we can hope for is that Cannizaro is willing to come back when the time is right. He's going to be a great head coach.

Stevenson and Laird speed translated well in OF, for whatever reason they were not very good basestealers.

No. We just never used them that way. Look at their summer ball stats before their final year. We started straight stealing instead of H&R once Canni got here.

Bregman had so many bc he was on 1B so often. Lead the team in walks and HBPs.

He said that Deichmann has more raw power than anyone who has ever played for LSU.

Joey would like a talk with Andy

if he'd made that statement about Tulane I'd tend to believe it, but he doesn't know much of the players who have played here before last season.

Mr. Furniss might have something to say about it.

as far as raw power Mouton, Cresse, Barrios, Larson would top my chart, and I understand the juicing, and different bats. but it would be the same trying to compare any athletes from this era, and ones of the past.

That's a bold statement, what knowledge does this come from?

I wouldn't call it a bold statement. Just my opinion answering the OP. I don't know Dunn personally but the way he talks about pitching and developing players it seems like he really likes what he is doing. I also think if he leaves he is gonna wait for a big time power 5 school while Cannizaro would probably take a mid major job somewhere and build a resume.

Joey laughs at Andy's assertion.

He had crazy person strength. Like natural PCP flowing through his veins.

Kind of guy that takes 10 bullets before going down in a gun fight.

You can add these guys to the list, but none had the power of Belle, he was a freak

and Eric Hendrickson (couldn't find a pic)
