Is he really to blame for our offensive issues? I see a lot of people saying he needs to get out of town with Miles and I was just curious. I think Cam would do great with another head coach honestly with full reigns of the offense

A joke right?

These problems occur thru the week, they manifest themselves on Saturday

The entire offensive staff is to blame

Coach Cam Cameron is the very definition of insanity...he keeps doing the same thing over and over again and expects improvements!!!

Or was that Miles, now I am confused....

But the thing is.. as long as he is here.. he is Miles' guy

Yes, I agree Miles is the main problem.. but him actually removing his buddy and bringing in a new college OC would show maybe he is seriously trying.. and he is removing himself.

I know, not likely.. but it would have been a start.

There are probably at least a dozen Louisiana high school coaches that could call better plays.

Well Cam even mentioned that Miles's way during practice is if you can't execute the play in practice every time, they don't bring that play to the game. I'm not saying he is not deserving of some blame, but wouldn't that somewhat handcuff your OC from dialing up plays in the heat of the moment?

yes, because our offense has looked like a fine tuned machine under his tutaledge.

when I watch our offense I just know what great coaching looks like.

While that may be true, I just feel we really haven't seen what Cam can really do. Minus the 2013 season

Our offense hasn't looked like a finally tuned machine under anyone is my point. Same offense no matter who has the OC title. My whole question was why does Cam get so much hate when we honestly haven't seen what he could really do

How many times have we done this with the same exact results though? And every new OC gets the blame and needs to get run out of town. When deep down we all know who to really blame

I have never seen a coaching staff so determined to NOT play to the strengths of the players. I'm disgusted with this square peg/round hole bullshite.

Looked like Cam took over 2nd quarter with Etling. He called some great plays. Then it went back to the same old shite in 2nd half. If we can get the play calling in the 2nd quarter, we would go far this year. Assuming Harris stays on bench and Etling doesn't crumble in sec play

You think these plays are being executed correctly in practice? I doubt it.

I do know every coach in America says that if you cant get it right in practice, you cant run it. That is nothing new.

Either we aren't being perfect in practice, or our film study on what we will see is so far off base that we have ZERO idea what the D will bring in regard to coverage and scheme.

This is the part that drives me batty.

We don't have a 'call a great play" problem, we have an execute an offense problem.

I guess it's just hard to really pinpoint the main issue with this offense. its so frustrating

it is

But IMO, the more people understand that there isn't a magic bullet, the more they understand.

there is no secret play, formation, player, or coach call that makes a difference in this offense until they decide to start executing.

If not for our unreal running backs, we probably would have about 2 offensive TDs all year.

In this essence, when asked about the offense, Miles is correct...we don't execute well. As fans we don't know what is expected regarding communication at the LOS, but I suspect this is the greatest weakness on the team. So, even though Miles may be correct...it is his job to fix.

It has been his job to fix for a while and we get further and further away from where we need to be.
