Can we send you Mack Brown as a thank you for Miles' daughter coming to swim here?

Mack Brown showed no interest in LSU at a time when he could have probably got the job...So no.

I bet Bobby Bowden now wishes he wouldn't have passed on the LSU.

Probably realized he would have to do real coaching and hold players accountable. That's not his style.

I understand that you meant the comment "starting to sink" as a joke but last year LSU Swimming and Diving Men's team finished 20th in the Nation and the Women's team was 18th. That is pretty good if you consider that their facility is in need of updating compared to the facilities at Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Mizzou.

2011 Rankings

The Texas women's team was ranked 6th in the nation, is close to home and they have an amazing facility. Congrats to Smacker and her parents she will do great things at Texas.

I couldnt name 1 LSU swimmer. My sarcasm meter was off. I now see that you must have been joshing us.

and if you really do tailgate for swim meets, tigerbait opposing swimmers, and fight opposing swim fans, I hope you can get the help that you need.

@Ehole you are wrong! LSU did not finish 14th at NCAA's they finished 47th . This was primarily because their one best female swimmers was injured and did not swim. Also those ranking were taken before the NCAA Finals and did not take injuries into account.

Can we get a quote on our swim team coach on how he/she feels about this? I think this sucks. Glad Kevin Faulk was willing to help build a program.

Smacker swims for The Bolles School here in Jacksonville, a top notch High school program. At first I was surprised that she would choose UT over Florida. Then I thought about it and well.............. that would make her a Gator. Probably not a good idea.

She left her sophomore year I'm pretty sure. I also heard she almost qualified for the olympic squad, but just missed the cut in trials

More than likely not a full one.

Although it may be different for the women with title ix. My coworker's son is being recruited by UT, A&M, LSU, etc for swimming and he is only able to get like a quarter scholarship b/c they don't have enough to give people full ones.

Thanks. I should have posted that it probably wouldn't be a full ride. Quarter to half sounds right.
