-LSU made every effort to play this game

-LSU had transportation in place to play game in Gainesville come hell or high water whichever day FL wanted.

-Foley was adamant until yesterday afternoon that the game would be played at UF and rebuffed ANY conversation of moving the game. Basically had his head in the sand.

-called McMurphy of ESPN a liar that was looking for clickbait with his story about LSU's refusal to reschedule game. 100% false

-each conference call that took place had reps from LSU, UF, and the SEC.

-SEC did NOTHING to step in and encourage a decision be made. Joe said not once did they put any pressure on UF.

-game will almost certainly not be rescheduled.

Conveniently the only year that Bama has a weaker squad.

LSU needs to sue.

I think he handled the best way possible

11/19 should be off the table for an option unless A&M game is reschedule to Saturday, and we don't lose a home game.

Otherwise that is a non-working solution. If the SEC wants to make it happen move back the SEC Championship game. They might be waiting to see if this as any affect on SEC Championship

UF didn't have their heads in the sand. They knew exactly what they were doing. Chickenshits.

Foley was daring the league office to step in, and they wouldn't. Chickenshit leadership at the SEC.

Good. He should repeat that throughout the day on every sports show.

Clearly everybody knows that Florida officials are trying to avoid this game at this point because of their injuries and the possibility of winning the East if UT drops UT 2 games. They are using "Safety" as a scapegoat. This doesn't look bad on UF, it looks bad on Sankey for allowing this to happen while allowing USCe/UGA to reschedule. You could tell Alleva had this thought in the back of his mind but he is not going to come out and say it because of the position he holds as AD and it would make him sound very insensitive.

yup - Sankey could have solved this. He looks like such a fricking chump today with every single other game being played. Such weak milquetoast leadership 'deferring to Florida's judgement' on it instead of coming up with an actual solution.

He should not allowed that phone call to end without a makeup date being scheduled. they had an entire week to consider different times, different dates and different venues and the best they could come up with was Gainesville, on Saturday, either at the regularly scheduled time or a couple of hours later. I'm supposed to buy that there were no other options?

A Fla. radio sport talk show said that Coach Mac was on the phone all day Tues to the league office, ranting that FLa. would not play the game anywhere but in Gainesville. Foley stepped in, the commish dropped to his knees, and Fla. won on many accounts. UT is screwed if it loses this wkend.

You watch. If Tenn loses this weekend the SEC and everyone else will be bringing the heat on us to make up the game by cancelling the S ALA GAME. !!

He also said that the discussion needs to be had regarding a 6-1 LSU vs a 7-1 someone else..

Can't say I agree with him there. While it sucks, whoever came up with the Division championship rules was pretty prescient basing it on win percentage.

If they were concerned about safety they would have moved the game on Wednesday.
