"The honey beaver will chase down cobras, climb trees, dig into beehives and get stung....it's a creature that has a certain fearlessness, and I think it's apropos, that those characteristics certainly describe 7."

I got into a heated arguement yesterday with a guy who was claiming Miles was stupid. ( you know the usual ) I am convinced he does this to keep the attention, spotlight, and attention off his players as much as possible. It keeps the pressure off and keeps the players loose. If you watch Miles on a regular basis their are rare times when you can tell he speaks from the heart. Like when he defended Jefferson last week and the press confrence after he turned down michigan for the second time. Both times he spoke normal, with passion and without any Milesisms. Most of the world thought he was a idiot ( me included for awhile ) for along time, but I think college football is catching on.

Listen to miles on his radio show. If you ask him a pointed question about football he speaks MILESISH. if he gets a non football question he is just a normal guy answering. I think MILESISH can be interpreted into just plain coach speak if you listen to it enough. I think he does it to play with the media when they ask question he doesn't want to answer directly. I also think he enjoys making the media and world outside of. LSU think he is stupid. When other teams don't take him seriously it's a huge advantage to LSU.

So true. I love it. Such a nice and technical way of saying "We totally kicked their asses."

I bet Les doesn't make many opposing bulletin boards because the players would miss practice trying to figure out what he was saying.

Coach is shrewd. He knows when to gamble. Not many coaches do. He is better at it than most. In regards to the stupid criticisms,
Coach Miles "Doesn't give a shite".

He is the most successful coach in LSU history. He was very well thought of when he was on the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff. I have heard that from other Cowboy personnel at the time. Coach Miles has maintained staying at the top which is often just as difficult if not harder than getting there.

If you have ever heard him speak away from the cameras , he is very well spoken. Particularly when he doesn't feel the need to use coach speak.

He knows football. He cares about his players and LSU. He enjoys the game. He wants his players to play hard for sixty minutes and also enjoy the game. He understands the importance of family in having a well balanced and fulfulling life. FAmily comes before football ( for his own well being).

He has parlayed a career into being very wealthy.

All of the above let you know that he is shrewd and caring and way more successful than the vast majority of his critics.

And once again in regards to the critics, Coach Miles DGAS.

Les Miles ability to take a colloquialism and turn it into a "Lesism" is becoming legendary.
