Man this kid can play 3rd! He makes most plays look routine and pretty good at the plate.

I hope he develops a bit more power, but other than that I can't argue with anything you've said

The people who were dissing him earlier this season can eat crow. Or maybe owl.

He's been so solid. I think with Lockridge we may not be where we are right now. He's good for a hit or two a game usually and is typically error free and smooth. Saved us last night in the 11th.

love his approach at the plate. Like i said earlier this year, he'll lead our team in hitting one day

dude has been so solid at the hot corner. He's pieced together one hell of a season.

He's really surprised me offensively. Hitting .290+ with an OB% over .410. Not to mention he's made some GREAT plays in the field. That play in the bottom of the 11th last night was awesome

And you can tell this kid loves baseball and loves LSU.
Everytime we have something positive happen, you always see him pumped up. Aside from K-Rob and Lange, he's been one of my favorite players this season.

The dude just always seems to get on base and that swing is a work of beauty. When God invented a left handed swing he was thinking of what Reid's looks like.

Him and Duplantis are probably the 2 most disciplined hitters on the team. It's so refreshing watching a team be patient, swing at strikes, and make the pitchers work hard

Like I said he reminds me of Schimpf without the power numbers.

I love his approach at the plate, especially lately. He doesn't seem to get cheated on his cuts and he has an incredible eye. The moment never seems to big for him, regardless of whether he gets the job done or not.

ETA Apparently I'm not the only one with that take.

No doubt. Where are the posts from folks saying he has a "lazy" swing?

He has great rhythm. He lets the barrel work behind him as he starts the swing with his lower half.

He's very much raw at this point but he has one of the quickest bats. If Deichmann and Robertson return I doubt he starts next year but he's going to turn into a 1B, DH, LF type player that will grow in power exponentially as he gets stronger and become a heart of the order type hitter. I hope he's patient and grows within the program because he does have huge upside with his frame.

This might be a dumb question but why wouldn't he start next year with those two returning?

It looks slow because it is so smooth and effortless and the barrel stays in the strike zone for a long time. You would think he would be victimized on inside fastballs but the swing starts on such a flat plane through the zone he can inside out them with enough exit speed to get through the infield.

I don't see KR returning next season. Not sure he can improve his stock by coming back in light of his play this year.
