Re Herbie being a homer, consider he had to move his family from Columbus to Nashville due to the constant crap he was taking from Buckeye fans. He was accused of not supporting the Buckeyes enough. Considering he is a second generation team captain, following in his father's footsteps, I actually think he gives balanced overvview of college football when the corporate suits don't make him follow a script..i.e. constantly blowing USC 's horn.

Na pretty limited in my political prowess here so the Rant's own Richard Simmons lives on.

I think SVP is a great radio broadcaster. Seems like a very down to earth dude. Surprised ESPN still employed after the voicemail.

ris Lowe always has a very even keeled perception. Anyone know if he went to UT or South Carolina?

Not sure where he went to school, but pretty sure Low was a UT beat writer for a lot of years.

Good point and one I didnt consider. I like his commentary, in general, but was using it as an example. Thanks for the info.

off topic, but what part of Park Slope do you live in? Love that area. I want a Bierkraft sandwich.

SVP is the only one I'll listen to and that's in the off chance I see him on when a game is being broadcast on ESPN

Bingo. I like Wilbon too even though he never really covers CFB. Tony is ok. I guess I can handle PTI.
