carefull. when ranters have been told that someone is a high character individual they dont like to hear explanations as to why that player was willing to acquiesce.

2 schools of thought.. draft for value vs draft for need.

I've been saying this all summer! I was so glad to see a little of this in the Vandy game. How awesome must it be for Keiland to see that big number 32 opening up holes for him!!!

We'll see how unselfish he is when Keilands getting all the carries, TDs and recognition. Might see him brush off a LB and not see anymore KW.

Charles Scott is a "Football Player". I know it is hard for some of you to believe, but there are still some that play the game because they love the game. Chuck will get his regardless of what position he plays in college. Some of you watch too much ESPN.

Hail Chuck!!!!!!!

This coming from a guy who thinks kick returner is the most dangerous position on the field, yet can't name one LSU player that has suffered an injury at this position in 100+ years of football.

Yeah, your opinion matters.

plus, my observation on you always showing up at the last gasp of a thread and hurling insluts like a 3 year old is hardly an opinion.

Absolutely nothing. I just know that money cannot buy character and success in life is not always counted in dollars.

I'm not trying to make myself feel good - I've got enough money to live more than comfortably.

As for Charles Scott - he has potentially passed on X amount of dollars. Until the end of the season, we won't really know. I honestly don't think he would've been 1st round if he came out last year. Nor do I think this year's class has better RBs than last year. He could do just as well financially with the uncapped year ahead... prepare for some wild NFL roster moves.

Then there are the "things money can't buy" at stake. What if his staying and assuming a leadership role parlays into another BCS game win (perhaps a championship) - but he goes in the 3rd round instead of the 2nd... Does he still "look back and say he should have declared after his junior year?"

I'm not Charles Scott, so I'm not going to project what he's going to look back on one day and say...

I prefer to commend the decision and hope it plays out to his satisfaction. If there were more of him and less of you, the Tigers would be better for it.

Isn't it safe to say just about all of our skill players have a decent amount of patience and unselfishness? Its especially seen in the rb's, CS isn't the only one willing to say "I'm not the one that needs to run this play."
How much of a team player do the WR's need to be to know they've gotta block for plays running their way for as long as they do, as often as they do? RJ Jackson is finally getting meaningful touches in his sr year when lafell and TT are lined up in a 5 wide set with him and RR hasn't even been thrown to yet.
I think there is an attitude that CS gets recognized for that is probably much more prevelant than we realize.
I also credit miles for planting and cultivating that and everyone reeps the benefits.

no. harper knows exactly when he would have been drafted last year. this is not debatable.

Third rounders don't make much more than fifth rounders. And if he sticks around, he'll get rewarded.
