Forgive my ignorance, but who is Chris Landry and why does his opinion matter?

Chris Landry reads Tigerdroppings and gets all the info he needs for his podcasts. There was nothing in there that you couldn't see here already.

Yep, just tapping into the mob. And the part about GB DC is complete bullshite.

He's a self-proclaimed super scout that is an NFL insider, and now a college and HS insider.

His opinion is as valuable as Buddy Songy or Matt Moscona.

So with a lead with a minute left v #1 Alabama while we were ranked #5 is not being in contention?

If you say so, but from my vantage point we were contending very well.

Ahh so he’s a Saban loyalist/synchopant. Now your post makes sense.

I agree. But I will say I support him because I support LSU.

This is where I disagree. I don’t support Orgeron or the clown show administration that hired him. The administration won’t fire Orgeron (and Alleva) until the financial support drops up and the stadium is empty. 8-5 and 9-4 won’t do that—people will continue to buy tickets, show up for a half and then leave and the program will stagnate.

UF tried to cling to Muschamp for as long as possible, but had to pull the trigger once his teams started to bottom out and play in front of 20,000 people. I don’t enjoy watching LSU lose, but I’d prefer a 4-8 season that Brings about a new athletic department regime, rather than a string of 8-4 and 9-5 seasons with the “we comin next year” bull shite.

LSU had the roster in 2016 to make a run. but they didn't. the issue at LSU a lot of years isn't players. it's coaching/development/administration.

I don't know what you call support. I am not going to give up my tickets I have had for 22 years. I am not going to wish for LSU to lose. When I say I support him it is because I support LSU and he is the head coach so I want LSU to be successful. That doesn't mean I will just blindly praise him. We all know where this is headed. He will go 5-7 or 6-6 this season and he and Alleva will be fired. Worst case he gets fired in 2019, but I think it is this year.

You don't have to win to be a contender. The fact remains in 2012 we were a contender for the SEC title and as a result the NC in November until we lost the game.

I could buy that

Wisconsin and AU games were certainly winnable

Defense played well enough against Bama and UF was also winnable

And if we don’t have a solid record in 2018 it can be reversed with a solid recruiting class in 2019. And if we don’t have a solid recruiting class in 2019 it can be reversed with a solid record in 2020. And...

Chris Landry on LSU

Landry was fired from a job for committing the biggest sin in journalism. He was plagiarizing two separate writers at the same time and was canned and all of his articles immediately removed from the site.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2008/12/03/smoking-gun-emerges-in-landry-situation/

The guy hates Eaux and has tried to slander him in the past. He's a petty person with a platform to act like he knows what is going on inside the LSU football program.

quote:

He thinks he can get the head coach job. He knows Orgeron is on a downward trajectory.

This is about as stupid as Rantards make up on this site. I guess Dave himself told the biggest hack in journalism this bit of information ???
quote:

"He knows Eaux is on a downward trajectory".

HILARIOUS !!! That's why he is doing mulitiple interviews talking about how excited he is over the returning and new players Eaux has coming this season.

quote:

The word is out that at LSU you only will compete to get to a bowl.

Ha Ha Ha !!!! And who put this word out? Chris Landry? What a hack !!! "THE WORD IS OUT". Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!

quote:

-orgeron the coach is holding back orgeron the recruiter. It’s hard to recruit when your results as a head coach are mediocre

9-4 in his first year as head coach of LSU is mediocre? One loss to the NC winning team and another to Notre Dame.

If that is mediocre, how in the hell will the coaches that lost to a coach with such mediocre results ever get another player to even consider signing with them ???

Coach: You need to come to school here, LSU has a mediocre coach.

Recruit: You lost to LSU last season.

Coach: Doesn't matter, he is mediocre.

Recruit: Yeah, right dude.

quote:

Recruiting is trending towards middle of the sec instead of the top

Even the idiots on this board know that 2019 may possibly be the best recruiting class LSU has ever signed. What will Chris Landry say then?

quote:

-things will get worse

Or much better with the players Eaux is assembling.

That dude sounds more like one of the Lunatic Fringe Rantards than a legitimate journalist.

Can you post a RickMomma podcast also? Would love to know what his opinion is.

God I hope not. Pour gasoline on this dumpster fire and get Orgeron out as soon as possible. 3-8 would be a magnificent result.

This folks is why this place sucks so bad.

Welcome to the rant.

This is so much crap. If Surtain's father wanted him to be developed, he would send him to LSU. WE have consistently taken lower ranked db's than Bama, yet turned out more and better pro players.

I swear you people seem be rooting for this thing to implode just bc you don't like the hire.
Hard to understand how a true supporter of LSU could have that attitude.

Anyone rooting for an implosion is doing so only because the alternative is a slow multi-year decline, with a slow multi-year rebuild. I don't have many decades left on this earth.
