Can we win two SEC games in a row for only the second time in the McMahon era, or what? How do we match up against a surging Cat club?

I wish we caught uk earlier
They seem to be figuring things out defensively

It’s not a good matchup for us but maybe we’ll catch them on the right day to pull an upset.

Would be a massive win. The schedule is soft as shite after this game so we could have a nice little run here if we manage to pull it out

Going with 3 more. Haven’t taken my daughter since she was a baby…. Super pumped since her mom’s family are big blue fans from the hills of Kentucky. Love a big win Wednesday night!

I got to think this is a bad matchup for LSU, UK likes to rebound and run in transition and LSU have been pretty bad most of the year in transition.

LSU will have to do what they always need to do to win, rebound and keep the turnovers down. But unlike vs South Carolina idk if they can get UK into a slugfest, meaning they will have to make some tough shots all game.

I think LSU will have to be lights out from 3 tomorrow, cutting down on rebounds and transition baskets.

LSU can't outmuscle Kentucky. If they compete it'll be through finesse, not power.

Will be there and like our chances. TO and rebounding will be key as well as ball penetration defense. I think we'll shoot well at home. Ward needs to play a majority of the minutes. Also need to see how Cook looks with the hammy.

This isn't one of those UK teams that is dominant inside. They are a tremendous offensive team that can shoot it well from all levels (particularly from 3). A little bit more akin to Alabama. What they haven't done most of the year is defend. However, that has seemingly changed in the last week following a home loss to Gonzaga where they gave up 89 (and that isn't a great Gonzaga team). In their last two they have only allowed 63 (Ole Miss) and 59 (@ Auburn). Getting UK into a bit of a half-court crawl might actually benefit LSU a bit more.

It's crazy that LSU has only played two home games in the last MONTH, but in both they shot over 50% from the field. I think LSU will have a decent offensive game. But that's not what will win it for them. They will have to be much, much better defensively. They got it going on that end in the second half vs. South Carolina which allowed them to come back. They will have to keep that up because LSU doesn't have the fire power to trade buckets with Kentucky.

Don't think we have anybody who will be able to consistently slow down their guards coming downhill. We'll see. Should be an exciting up and down game regardless

LSU should be loose. Playing with a bit of house money after the SC win.

House money? Are you saying we are easily inside the NCAAT bubble?

What is the goal we are trying to accomplish?

UK is our toughest remaining game for sure.

If we win this game, it’s possible a lot of posters including myself could wind up eating crow by next month. This team would have the confidence to close out the season 19-12 (11-7) if they can beat UK and could possibly make a tournament run.

Toughest games left after UK are MSU at home and Arkansas on the road which is about as easy as you could ask for. Our final 4 games of the season are against the bottom 4 teams in the SEC standings…. What a pleasant surprise that would be if we go on a 7-game win streak to close out the season beginning with wins over #11 USCe on the road and #17 UK.

I’m expecting 17-14 (9-9) & will be pleasantly surprised if they finish better than that.
Similar to Wade’s 1st year. Obviously expecting SEC Champs & sweet 16 next year now

They’d finish .500 in the SEC if they went 4-2 the rest of the way.

17-14 (9-9)

Considering my expectations at the beginning of the season I’d be happy with that too as a stepping stone to the expectation of a tournament bid next season.

Gotcha.
Forgot to include the win at SC
A couple weeks ago, I set the bar for 8-10 & didn’t realize they’re looking at 9-9 now
