I like Chavis and he fielded some great defenses over the years. Am I the only one who felt like our defenses success was due more to talent than scheme for the last few years. I feel like Chavis was becoming the next M. Kiffin, out dated and predictable.

:nb4 LSU is bigger than any individual, be it player, coach, AD, etc., we've done OK with him, we'll do fine without him, seems like a good time for some arse chewings and reminding people of what their jobs are supposed to be, won't happen because of agents and contracts though

Some coaches are obviously better than others ,but no coach can win without great talent and great support from the university.

The last drive of the Bama game did it for me....time for a fresh change. This old school stuff is just that "old"

We couldn't disguise blitzes for crap. Perfect example, on Bama's last drive on regulation, Sims dropped back and had a blitzer coming right at him from his blind side. Sims spun out of the sack and the blitzer whiffed. Sims ran for about 6 yards and got out of bounds to stop the clock. How did this happen? Sims easily saw the blitz coming off the slot receiver and basically baited the defender into getting close before he made him miss.

How bout Miss St when we had the scoop and score, the crowd was going nuts, State had 3rd and 9 and we set up to blitz. Prescott faked the snap, saw the blitz, backed away and got a call from the sideline, and checked to a screen from the blitz side. LSU never checked out of the blitz and they converted the third and long. Two plays later Dak went 65 yards up the middle and the game was over.

I am happy. No blowing games in the 4th quarter. He/payton manning never beat the great spurrier florida teams.

We've had an old coaching staff: two guys in their sixties, one guy mid-fifties. Let's hire a guy closer to this generation of players, a younger guy whose background and experience is closer to that of the players he coaches.
