Tyler Moore needs to see ABs vs. RHPs.

Rhymes is fine where he is...he drives all the runs in...

Certainly. Would be nice to have an experienced bat in the lineup down the stretch. Maybe a platoon?

Dozar is dead to me.

I don't want to say that about Dozar because I think we are still going to need him for a spark later in the season

I like him as a left handed bat off the bench for late inning pinch hit roles. Anything else...

Moore was voted the LSWA Offensive Player of the Week. A freshman first baseman, Moore batted .700 (7-for-10) in three games with a double, three RBI and a run scored. He collected a career-high four hits in Saturday's series-clinching win over top-ranked Florida. In the Tigers' victory over Louisiana College, the Baton Rouge native went 3-for-4 with a double and batted in three runs.

If you could find someone else to lead off moving Jacoby Jones to 5th would be an improvement over Nola and be better for Jones IMO.

Fields has looked good. If he continues to produce I'd move him to lead off.

Doesn't Edward give the Tigers a long ball threat? They don't seem to have as many as usual this season.
This team is hitting the ball better than I thought they would--they seem to have a will to win that the team hasn't had so much the two previous seasons.

Also, they are basically playing solid defense.

Fields- CF
Jones-2B
Katz-RF
Rhymes-LF
Nola-SS
Ross-C
Snickeris/Edward-DH
Moore-1B
Hanover- 3B

I like Rhymes in the 4th hole bc either he hits with a runner on base in the 1st or he leads off the second and that works well to open any game

So you are telling me Nola is an SEC middle infielder but he doesn't have enough speed to lead off??

Yes. I've seen him run before.

I like this line-up. Switch hitting + speed and a hot bat at leadoff makes a lot of sense

Jones is barely hitting his weight. Hanigriff said last nite that Jones is 4/28 and is fighting it a little bit-hell. that's more than a little bit. For every line drive he has hit lately, he's hitting much more dribblers, soft ground balls and lazy fly outs. His speed is no good if he can't get on base. I'd bat him 7-9 until he snaps out of it.

Can't understand anyone wanting Jacoby hitting higher than 5th

You really can't understand why having one of our 3 best hitters in league play in the top part of the lineup is a good thing?

SEC OPS:
Rhymes 1.131
Jones .847
Katz .770
Ross .767
Nola .680
Dozar .615
Hanover .578
Moore .525
Foster .511

Snikeris 1.167 (3 at bats)
Fields 1.158 (only 16 at bats, but has proven his worth in his limited SEC action)

Jones leads the SEC in doubles with 8. He has 10 RBI (2nd on the team) and leads the team in runs (14)... he's been doing his job at the top of the order and has played much better in league play than his overall stats suggest.

We have 3 regular starters batting over .300 in SEC play. Rhymes .479, Jones .313, and Ross .302. And this is with Jones having 7 more at bats than any other player.

Anyone who thinks Jones hasn't gotten it done is simply wrong
