Chances Tulane is sent to a BR baseball regional?

Seems like a bit of a scary proposition. LSU doesn't seem to match up very well against Tulane based on the regular season results.

Lange will take care of them.

The #rallypossum doesnt care about regular season results. Its postseason time.

We pitched our 4th pitcher against them. They probably pitched their 4th pitcher against us. How can you even tell how we match up? Mid-week games mean nothing. Regional's are a different story.

Their "4th pitcher" shut us down in back to back games & won the big game in their conference finals over the wkend. Want nothing to do with them. Or ULLLLLLL for that matter.

God our fans can be such pussies. U can conclude next to nothing from midweek games. A regional would present different pitching matchups and a completely different atmosphere.

The day I as an LSU fan am scared to play Tulane in any sport is a bad day. What happens in a couple mid week games in the middle of SEC play has absolutely nothing to do with post season play.

Hell if Tulane wins their conference tourney they could host their own regional

The borderline hosts all had horrible weekends. Rice got swept by LA Tech, southern miss got swept by FIU, and Fullerton lost 2/3 to Hawaii. Outside of the 7 SEC schools, 6 ACC schools and Texas tech, the last two regionals are up for grabs.
The committee will give one to the west, but at this time I can't see it be as a 1 seed.

That would be great. LSU team would be highly motivated.

It's just part of the equation, but Tulane's RPI is now 27 and ULL's RPI is now 18. Both equate to a #2 seed. Based on the way NCAA ties things up geographically now, I would expect one of those two in BR.

D1baseball has basically said one of the lasting hosting spots will come down to USL or Tulane. If we don't host, I don't think they send us to BR two years in a row.

NCAA just sent AZ State to LSU in softball two years in a row.

I for one, would want them in the Box when it is really rocking.

I hope so. I want LSU to kick those weenie's. the green "wave" needs to get their arse kicked when the game really matters.

It would seem a rather devious move by the selection committee to award LSU a regional and then send a school that has beaten them twice.
So it will probably happen.
So it will probably happen.

It's ULL's turn for LSU duty.
And La Tech should definitely be the 3. That's standard for La teams that haven't made it in a while.

The thing about Tulane, the reason they wont host is losing midweek games. Losing to teams like Nichols twice is hurting their RPI. Their bats disappear at times. They have a really solid squad and they can throw 5 number 2 starters at you. Not many teams have that pitching depth.
