His season performance is definitely better than Woodson's when he won. Some guys wait all season to have a Heisman moment to solidify the trophy, Matheu has one a game.

Zero. The espn machine has deemed Alabama's Trent Richardson the winner.

As well as Alabama deserves the shot at LSU even though OSU has a better resume.

I just posted similiar thread, sorry about that.....anyway yes I totally agree he has been the most outstanding player on any team this year.

Richardson is a great RB, but he hasn't CARRIED his team in anyway that a backup RB they have couldn't have done atleast 70 percent of his numbers.

Tyrann has provided the spark to wake us up SO many times. Don't give me any bullshite about him smoking weed, Cam Newton had more investigations going on than President Nixon.

I hope he at least makes the trip. He deserves to win! He's one of the most dynamic game changing players I have ever seen.

ZERO. Which is unfortunate. I think he is the best FOOTBALl Player in the country. However the Heisman is alwyas about the glamour positions.

True but it's gonna be hard to put up video game numbers two years in a row.

I have said it before and will say it again. You will see a RB get 1583 yards next year, but you won't see another HB for 10 to 20 years. He is a ball hawking dude who is constantly leading tackles stat for our D.

Alabama has survived by D play just like us. So do not give me this shite that they wouldn't be undefeated without him. First off, they haven't played no where near the competition we have. That fact alone requires that you have maybe snoopy as your I back and can get 80 to 120 yards with that O line.

This is why I say over and over there needs to be something on the D side like say Charles Woodson Trophy. With the same fan fair and at the same ceremony would be good.

hopefully he at least gets a trip to NYC. ESPN is trying hard to tell us who the candidates are though just like who is in the title game.

I think the point is that TM7 has made the position glamorous by making so many plays

I've heard of a few voters that have him in their top 3 on the ballot

I think he should at least make the trip. After the past two weeks he'll be getting some votes.

I thought it was interesting when ESPN showed TR's stats next to the Ball from Wisconsin's. Ball's numbers were better in every category I believe.

I also remember seeing Ingram's stats compared to Gerhart and I think Gerhart had better numbers.

I think RG3 will win.

Woodson had 8 interceptions the year he won, and they used him on offense to boost his numbers as well. HB7 Has done all his damage on D and Special Teams. Kid deserves the award, he did all that in just 11 games.

2 Int's
7 Pass Break-ups
6 Forced Fumbles
66 Tackles (49 Solo)
8.5 TFL
2 QB Hurries
1.5 Sacks

Chances are zero. No pre-season hype at all, and that counts for a lot.

Low to zero. Maybe he gets a cool trip to NYC, but the Heisman is now dedicated to how many passing yards/TDs one can amass. A RB will get some props but not a DB anymore.
