I think an LSU-OU 2003 Natty rematch would have resurrected the fan base after the Bama loss.

Also, LSU fans love playing in Arlington.

I don't see how posters maintain we were too good to be in the Chikin Bowl, and yet we got beat by a middling Clemson team that couldn't play defense...
Another post season embarrassment and this time JJ was nowhere around.

solely depends on the matchup.

I couldn't see LSU fans getting excited about playing WVU or K-State in Jerryworld.

Okla,Okla St & UTa are completely different stories.

FWIW, I have LSU going 8-4 as of right now.

But we had JJs white brother and our defense was in shambles after Bama.

I think that is a possiblity. I'd give it about 33%. I see us at 9-3. But eventually, we will get upset by someone like Ole Miss, Arkansas, MSU or maybe even an OOC. So 8-4 could very well happen.

I'll be cheering them on in Shreveport.

I agree, and that's why I listed OU as the opponent and how that would have resurrected the fan base after the Bama Boner on Nov 3.

I don't see it as a far-fetched event that LSU loses to TCU in the opener. A good amount of the fanbase is looking over TCU.

We're just rotating around every year. Chicken, Cap, cotton, bcs, chicken.

So we're going to Capital One or Cotton with outside Music City consideration.

LSU will get snubbed if everyone has the same record like last year. CFA will likely pass and LSU will go to Music City

What exactly is it that the fanbase has to do with the players and coaches preparing for their season opening game? Comments like this are so stupid.

It has nothing to do with the coaches & players preparation. The previous poster and I were just predicting what loses could come next season and I suggested that TCU could be one of them.

chillout...

I dont' think it would've been much better had we gone to the Cotton Bowl. Losing to Bama the way we did, ruined the season. It seemed as if the coaches, players, and fans just wanted the season to be over after that.

Pre-sell request for Cotton Bowl was much higher and had hit what would have been a sell-out of LSU's allotted tickets.

Liberty is ahead of the Music Bowl, right?

i thought they were virtually the same.

ETA:BBVA Bowl & Liberty are the same. Indy is the bottom of the barrel as far as SEC bowl tie-ins go.

No, but the Gator Bowl is ahead of MCB. Maybe we'll go to the Gator Bowl?

I'd rather go to the Gator Bowl than the Chicken.

I saw the ChickFilA Cows on a billboard outside of Atlanta putting up a sign saying, "Don't Pik Tigurs."

Truth.

LSU got the bowl it deserved. A team with a high school level offense shouldn't feel entitled to a good bowl. To me the Cotton is only marginally better than the CFA.

Why does it seem everybody's down on the defense after the chicken bowl loss. How many frickin' three and outs did the offense take in the second half? Jesus, those poor guy's on defense never got to rest in the second half.I saw player after player drop from exhaustion.I want to know why the tigers stop running the ball in the second half.I'm not a CLM hater, I just didn't get it.

Couldn't disagree more. The Cotton is way more respected than the Chicken. Look at the attendance, the television ratings, etc.
