The next step, according to Joseph and Moran, is getting Jones in pads and "hitting some guys" in January or February.

That's unbelievable. I never thought he'd recover enough to get into contact.

Despite constantly being stopped at the gym and on the street, Jones doesn't mind. "When everybody's telling me they're praying for me," he said. "I always tell people, 'Your prayers are working.' "

Amazing! When he makes it they should make a movie....with his size do you think he could add a few pounds and move to linebacker? Because with the injury he cant have the speed he had originally... Love Chad's determination.

Chad Jones is one of my favorite Tigers ever, and he is pretty much one of the most inspirational people that I've ever followed. He is really an extraordinary person

Can he play Safety at 4.83 speed or are they expecting that he will even improve on that time?

Giants already told him he just needs to get back in the 4.7 forty range, which he should be able too.

I'm sure he'll improve on that time, but the question is how much. I would think if he gained about 10 pounds and was 6'3 240 and could get his forty somewhere in the 4.7s he'd make a heck of a linebacker.

Wow. Just. Wow.

I really hope his hard work pays off. I know of no one who has that kind of mentality, but it must be inspiring to be one of his friends or family members.

Happy to hear that Chad is doing well and seeming to get his leg back in shape. He's had a tough road and has shown how determined of a young man he is. I really hope he gets his shot to play again and just getting on the field will be an amazing success.
