Not sure either will sign him, yet I guess I would prefer the Aints.

It's called a PR move. Bring him in and it looks good to the teams' supporters.

Left hander throwing mid 90's with a nice slider. Screw the NFL, he could make bank in baseball and his injury is not as much an issue.

Saints have a greater need at the position.

Too bad the uniform covers all that mess up. I'd run for the sidelines at the sight of it.

You're a dumbass. Giving a guy a tryout then not signing him buys you little goodwill. Since Eagles fans probably no have idea who Chad Jones is it will buy them none.

Seeing as he is left handed I would bet he couldn't touch 90 anymore with that leg. He could still be a left handed specialist with that slider though but I'd imagine he'd have a mid 80's fastball now.

I would actually watch the Saints if this happened.

Think odds are against him, but if it works - hope he goes to the Dome. Who Dats need a safety.

I read where he is running a 4.8. Is this true and if so how much slower is he than most secondary players?

That is retarded. Nobody outside of LSU fans are looking for him to make a team. This is not a PR move years after he got drafted and injured.

How dare you make an educated guess at this. Probably IMO.

I don't even think Chad expects to make a career out of football. From that video, it sounded like he just wanted one play.

No shame in that. I say put him on the field. That guy worked his arse off for just the opportunity knowing the odds were against him. I think just having him in a locker room is reason enough to sign him. How could the rest of the team not bust their arse when they have to look at him and know what he's been through?

Seriously question what goes on in some of y'all's heads. If you had any clue, you'd know he can't play baseball with that leg. He can't throw the ball hard enough anymore.

For those that suggested he is wrong about playing football and should try baseball, don't you think he and his doctors know what sport he should play? The dude isn't retarded, he's had plenty of time to weigh his options. His leg isn't fragile and won't break when he gets hit. It's just not strong enough for him to throw a 92 mph fast ball.
