CFP show at 6:30 PM will be interesting.......

We'll see if Auburn drops like a rock like LSU did after 'Bama loss and we rise up into top 20 and pass them up to secure Sugar Bowl birth! Certainly would NOT have expected LSU to be "in the mix" after Florida loss but a lot of good things happened last week w all the teams ahead of the Tigers in rankings losing. I am not holding my breath but stranger things have happened..... With Auburn's anemic offensive perception and LSU's blowout of AtM the perfect storm could be a brewing in LSU's favor..... We shall see.

Don't see it happening... They beat us, they have a better record than us and they just lost to #1. Even though we plummeted after Bama, I don't see the same thing for them.
LSU had it laid out in front of them. All they had to do was beat a Florida team that was being held together with spit and gum. They didn't.
Crazier things have happened but I wouldn't put a dime on this.

Lol if this was reversed and LSU beat auburn and didn't get the sugar bowl invite, this place would go ballistic.

I don't think LSU will pass Auburn, but the head-to-head is irrelevant.
Voters aren't even thinking about who won head-to-head two months ago while ranking teams at the bottom of the list. Too many teams have too many losses. It would be so convoluted. There is no tie breaker for who gets to be ranked 18th.

but you can't look at just Auburn or just LSU after those games.
you have to see what all of the teams surrounding them in the rankings did as well.
the week we lost to Bama, pretty much everyone ranked behind us won their games. Only one other team ranked behind us in the top 25 lost that week. It was our 3rd loss (to every good team we played all year) and the whole gang of people behind us still only had 2.
fast forward to this week and Auburn's loss. 7 teams ranked behind them in the top 25 loss. And Auburn will still have the same number of losses as all of those teams. That's going to cushion their fall considerably.
