So a one loss SEC Champion AU goes to the capital mud bowl, and the team they beat that didn't win its division or conference goes to the BCS bowl.... Wow

I think the cotton takes aggie for the final Johnny Football show against Texas. LSU gets screwed over again.

However, the starting QB for LSU is a glaring issue. Will LSU fans travel to see AJ play?

Of course they would, hell some may be more inclined to go see the bowl because of him. I don't think it's an issue to most fans one way or the other though.

A&M will not go to the Cotton above us

1. The Cotton Bowl isn't taking an 8-4 A&M over 9-3 LSU

2. The Cotton Bowl isn't taking A&M for a second consecutive year.

LSU may not go, but it won't be because A&M is the pick

bama, with FSU win in ACCCG, is a lock for Orange Bowl

That means they're projecting Mizzou to beat AU in the SECCG. If that happens, regardless of whether you, I, or anybody else likes it, a one loss Bama is going to a BCS game.

Bama is a lock for the Orange
USC is a lock for the Cap One
Auburn/Mizzou winner goes to Sugar

That means Outback picks next; as Cotton has to see if they take the SECCG loser.

This is where the Outback could screw LSU yet again. If they don't take Mizzou, then Mizzou has to go to the Cotton.

However, Cotton might take the ATM vs Texas matchup anyway.

That would drop LSU to the Chicken or Gator.

Wrong once again.

If Cap One takes USCe, then Mizzou is automatically in the cotton. Outback has no say in that.

Cotton is contractually bound to take loser of seccg; I'm assuming only in the scenario where the winner does not go to BCSNCG.

I don't know about this....after the season they have had combined with last season auburn will look really good to any bowl if they lose close to mizzou...in fact if msu beats osu and mizzou goes to natty then IMO sugar may take auburn over Bama...auburn will travel wherever with this emotional season and is on the national eye after the past two weeks finishes

Wrong. If the Cap One takes USC, then the Outback could take the Auburn/Mizzou loser. That gives them a say.

C'mon jrod, I've read every bowl prediction thread. Look at Rouge's thread or read this link.

quote:

This year it is the Cotton Bowl's turn, by contract with the SEC, to take the loser of the SEC Championship Game should it still be available after the BCS bowl selections and the Capital One selection. The SEC started this safety net program in response to LSU falling all the way to the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta after losing the SEC Championship Game to Georgia, 34-14, in the same town in 2005
