Orgeron has spoken at length this August about how his new offense under Matt Canada will shock BYU and that the Cougars are practicing things the Tigers might not run. “Matt Canada has an offense they haven’t seen yet," he said. "I know they’ve practiced some stuff from Pittsburgh, but it’s not the total offense we’re going to run here. We’re going to give them some surprises.”

I'm not sure why he would run a vanilla offense. In fact, with an offense based on misdirection, I would think pulling out all the stops early is actually a better strategy. This forces teams to try and guess your tendencies. Once he sees what you are keying off of, he completely flips his strategy.
