So how then if he 'failed" did we go toe-toe with Florida....

Was it our amazing amount of first downs?
Time of possession?
Crossing the 50 after half time?
Ability to get sacks on the quarterback?

Seriously, how did we stand toe-toe.

you can't reason with these people.....don't you know...they know everything. IF idiot one says we were worse in 2009 than 2008 then dammit we were. Just overlook the fact we lost by 14, 21 and 34 points that year in three separate games, and went 7-5 regular season...while losing three games in regular season by combined 21 points...lol....and went 9-3 and finished 3rd in SEC after finishing in bottom half in 2008...dammit these guys know what they are talking about....we went backwards dammit...screw the wins/losses or MOV....WE WENT BACKWARDS. LMAO....some real losers on this site...

none of the above obviously. Florida was never in danger of losing that game. Don't give me the offensive holding missed call either. We had 30 minutes of football to make up for that.

All people can point to is the complete screwup of the end of the Ole Miss game as to why LSU won't be any good this year.

Defensively, we're unproven but we return big time guys at key positions.

13 points. That can be done in no time without any real skill or power from the opposing team.

How can you say we did not go toe to toe with Florida?
Because we didn't.

quote:

It does not matter if the dominated us statically wise.
Yes it does. The ONLY way it wouldn't have mattered is if we won somehow.

quote:

The final score proves that we did go toe to toe with them.
Again...no it doesn't. Double digit loss in our own stadium and not 1 TD. If the final score had been 6-3 you would have an argument.

quote:

No matter how you slice it up, we went toe to toe with them, even playing as poorly as we did offensively.
No we didn't.

Box Score

Go to Page 2 of link. 2 to 1 yards and almost 2 to 1 on first downs = domination even though the score the doesn't necessarily reflect it. 13 minute advantage for UF on TOP also. That's right at a quarter. Pretty impressive.

Can ya point a brother a little more specifically to where they discuss LSU. I don't particularly care to hear about a bunch of other teams I could care less about.

Great avatar pic btw.

its about 5 seconds. they say auburn and LSU are going opposite directions or some shite. zero research, just listening to they hype instead of forming their own opinions.

Miles is fired after we barely beat Vandy and LSU hires the coach of ULL.

Do you like to follow me and make stupid comments in every thread I post.

UF dominated us. PERIOD. They ran the same play over and over again, and we couldn't stop it. They win by 13, but missed a chipshot FG. We had one, ONE, drive that was worth anything and we netted 3 points. We were dominated in everything.

That's not to take away from the effort of the guys, but I am sick of people saying we went toe to toe with the top 2 teams, because we didn't.

We went toe to toe with Bama and should've won that game, but for some bad luck with PP7 getting hurt.

That said, people rag on Auburn, but they went toe to toe with Bama too. That's a fact. Auburn lost by 5 (one score) and LSU lost by 9 (two scores). I'd say auburn went more toe-to-toe than we did.

In the end, LSU was improved on defense last year and regressed on offense. They should be improved this year and are playing an overall tougher schedule. That said, I think they'll be better, but the record won't indicate it since its a lot tougher this season with two tough OOC games AND playing Arky, UF, and Auburn on the road.

Thanks, found it. Looks like it's about 2/3 or 3/4 ways in in the SEC roundup vid. (no time counter on those vids for some reason).

... and Scott ... and Ciron ... and Dickson ... and Jefferson. Bama got a tremendous gift of injuries in that game. Oh well.

But I do agree that Florida completely and utterly dominated LSU. there was no point in that game in which I thought LSU had any chance. Every Florida drive was seemingly 10 plays at the least. They just ate the clock up. Completely dominant, and sort of awe inspiring, performance. They kicked our heads in.

LSU's other losses were all decided on the last possession, and LSU had a lead in the fourth quarter. You want to count close wins? Fine. LSU also had three razor-thin losses. It balanced out. The 9-4 record was pretty honest.
