But whats the point of running dime, which is 6 DBs, 1 LB, and 4 DL, on the field against a team that has a well balanced offensive attack that usually runs a pro set, 2 WRs, a TE, RB and FB?? All i was saying was you typically use dime against a spread offense or in passing situations.

Did i ever say you cant run dime whenever you want?? No. It just wouldnt be in your teams best interest to run dime package against a team like UGA. Which is what the other poster said. Whenever its an obvious passing situation and they have 4 WRs out. Sure, run dime. If you wanna run dime when they are in there pro set with a RB like Gurley, go ahead and see what happens.
