Can’t imagine how insufferable FSU fans must have been in the 90’s….

They've got every reason to be confident.

But so do we. That team that nearly beat them last year in their FIRST game under BK , is almost entirely back. And pissed.

Stupid to call this a blowout either way.

No social media back then so the only Florida State fans anyone here knew were bandwagon locals. And yes they were pretty annoying.

To be fair, LSU fans can be the same.

Born and raised here. They’re fine. Most of my buddies, even my wife, are Noles.

Now Florida fans…….different story. Being an lsu fan in the 90s in FL was tough.

True, but this is a different type of arrogance. It’s the preseason. Get on the field and prove it first.

They're probably this way because of the 90s. Sadly, two BR products (Dunn & Minor) were major keys to their success during that time (even though Minor isn't originally from here).

They weren’t bad at all. FSU was just very happy to be there. They are actually a fairly typical southeastern fanbase, and nowhere near as bad as Florida and LSU.

Florida St. prior to Bowden had a terrible win loss history. They handled success through the 90s a lot better than Miami.

Todays Wake Up Warchant has them proclaiming Harold Perkins is “just one guy”. They are ridiculously confident. No respect given at all with those guys. Hope Perkins has a game for the ages.

I couldn't agree more. I haven't heard one of their fans or even sportswriters with any hint of concern.

Listening to them...we shouldn't even bother showing up.

Looking at their schedule last year. Do you know who the best team that they beat was?

LSU and it really wasn't close...the next best team that they beat was 6-6 Oklahoma.

We should just forfeit now.

I grew up in Orlando in the 80's - I never had issues with FSU fans - it was the Gator fans who were a-holes - and that was BEFORE Spurrier.

Also said that FSU can play sub-par and still win comfortably. Idk where it's all coming from, but they are SUPREMELY confident. I believe LSU is hungry and laying in the shadows waiting.

I went to grad school at FSU from 98-2000 after graduating from LSU. You can’t even imagine the peak level of entitlement and delusion. And they were good enough to back it up consistently back then. This is just a return to form for them.

Except their head coach has almost as many .500 type seasons as winning seasons and he’s 18-16 in the ACC since taking over at Florida State they’re a lot closer to Ole Miss than Alabama

In the 90s FSU was the team that could never quite get over the hump until they finally did. They were actually pretty likable back then because Bowden was a good guy the tomahawk chop was fairly new, they had some exciting players, etc. and the alternatives were thug U and spurrier/Florida. There were some epic rivalry games . Also those were the pollster days so they’d beat bad teams 60-0 if they could. I kinda miss those days except LSU was terrible.
