Cannizaro Watch 2016

It is being reported that David Pierce will be tapped to abuse arms and throw at amateur athletes in honor of Augie at Texas.

That impacts LSU given that Coach Cannizaro is a prominent alumnus of Tulane. Now that the Texas domino has fallen, we'll have to see what direction Tulane goes.

He is certainly another prominent Tulane connection with coaching experience.
Does anyone know if Barth Melius is coaching somewhere or Brian Bogusevic?

Given the football and basketball hires their new AD has made, I still think they look at someone who has been a HC first. But we will see.

Not to discredit Cannizaro, but Id be calling Riser first. I'm not saying that because I want Cannizaro to stay, I just see what Riser has done at SLU and it's been nothing short of impressive.

Wonder if Pierce got CPM money from UT? Big picture, Riser getting the job would benefit LSU, for now anyway, as he's young & if successful, would not be leaving the weenies any time soon. LSU will lose Andy in time, just want him out of state & conference.

Would Cannizaro replace Riser at SLU?

If Rick Jones or Jim Schossenagle were asked who they would recommend as the next Tulane coach-- they would say Cannizaro. Zero doubt in their minds. He would be on a short list of one. Why -- he would stay for life.

I would hope they would hire him and he would take the job.

The expert has his money on AC
Bogey is playing in Japan. Barth owns a bar, IIRC

Yeah that's what the Green Wave needs, the owner of Bruno's Tavern coaching baseball.
