I don’t think LSU will even manage a winning seasons. I mean come on they got destroyed by miss state at average team who will likely lose 2 more games.
Who seems to be the likely candidates. Can we pull a big name from another program?

I hate to break it to you bro, but Orgeron is going to be the head coach of LSU next year.

ETA: To avoid any confusion, I think O is a disaster and this thing is going up in flames quickly. That said, I don't see us ponying up 12 million. They'll likely give him another year unfortunately.

But as recruits decommit and we lose money, maybe things will get expedited.

I sincerely hope you are right. As many others have pointed out, LSU stands to lose way more than 12 million bucks if they keep him around

Fleck isn't leaving Minnesota for LSU. I can't believe I just said that. His trying to build something over there and he isn't leaving after one season. He is committed to his players and that school. We missed the boat with him!

He's on borrowed time now, and we're only 5 games into the season, I am confident he will not be around for another.

First post and it's about the HC job

Sorry O... the rant doesn't control that. Go asked the chump that hired you. Or hopefully he's too busy cleaning out his own office to talk to you.

Jeff Brohm would be my target. My wish list? James Franklin comes back to the SEC and becomes the next Nick Saban

We've ALREADY gone through this once with Joe Alleva. We know how it goes unless he goes with or before Ogeron.

Ogeron is the SECOND coach Alleva hired at LSU that no one else wanted. Johnny Jones was the first. Jones took a team that combined returning vets and a top 10 recruiting class that included two MD All Americans (one of which the #1 player in the country) and bombed. It was glaringly evident Jones was not the guy to lead LSU basketball to a championship level. Despite that, Alleva retained him for another year (in large part because of the inexplicable extension he gave Jones after year two). In that second year the program quit on Jones and bottomed out.

The SAME script with the SAME administrators is repeating itself in football. King Alexander is on record with his aversion to paying large salaries to coaches. Alleva is the same bozo that agrees to ridiculous contracts with coaches who have no negotiating leverage. As a result, O is going to get another year due to the ridiculous financial implications that never should have been in place to begin with...at that point he will bottom out, just like Jones.
