Lee or JJ could do it with a few tweeks.

Maybe - I thought JJ would become that until last year. In his first year he was almost too risk averse then he went in the complete opposite direction last year. Lee will look good for a series then just shite the bed the next two. He almost looks uncoached when it comes to footwork and throwing the ball.

yeah

lee has always had that like half quarter where he's 11/13 and on fire, but 3 of the other quarters of the game are average-shite

when lee is on, he's pretty awesome. it's just too rare

It's Jimbo's fault.
It's Crowton's fault.
It's JJ's fault.
It's Lee's Fault.

Maybe it's the type offense that Miles likes.

Meh. Maybe we'll see, maybe we won't. I would have liked to have seen him after this last spring and fall. He did okay during the last part of the season in 10'. Hell, if 10 of 22 has everyone happy, he played like Tom Brady in a Super Bowl.

No shite - everyone is jumping on the WRs who did drop a few but Lee threw a number of passes behind players who almost caught them and overthrew a few guys, too. And on the pass the Beckam that was called back - if he had hit him in stride (which everyone thinks is Lee's strong suit) he would have walked into the endzone.

Lee was serviceable last night, but he needs to make fairly significant improvement if we are to beat Bama.

I don't get people saying there were a ton of drops. I saw two legit drops. When the ball is thrown into coverage, just because the WR gets a hand on the ball doesn't make it a drop.

I thought LSU went into this season overrated by a number of polls because it was all based on JJ improving which was based on the best game of his career - the Cotton Bowl. He was not going to be that much better this year. After watching the D and the running game maybe we aren't overrated. But Lee has to improve are we will have problems in SEC play.

I said that twice. It was ignored. These guys are like the little propaganda stenographs. Two years from now, when we've all moved on, the story will be that Lee went 10 for 22 in the opening because the WRs dropped 12 perfectly thrown passes that would have added up to 400 yards.

He won't improve if we don't throw the ball downfield on 1st down in the first half.

What do the numbers mean? Are you so verbally frustrated that you're unable to communicate?

Maybe he wasn't asked to do that because the coaching staff didn't trust him to execute.

It wasn't just the cotton bowl for me. Something, perhaps minor, seemed to click during the Bama game. He didn't have a truly bad performance after that. And the reviews out of camp, even from third parties, was positive.

But life's a mf. He may well never play another down in college.

But back to Lee. I feel the same way. Everyone is expecting things to get better, but we are going to face better defenses than UO, and they are going to have a better profile on Jarrett.

LSU had one thing in mind Run the ball an control the clock. Lets see how LEE can grow from game one to game 2. I hope he can improve.

Stats?? Like what??? Did JR EVER have a game like Rohan did against Bama in 2001??? NO.

Record 10-3 in 2001
Record 11-2 in 2006. YEAH that clinches it.
