The offense is to damn prediictable. I'm all for a pro-style multiple set offense. That is not what LSU runs. They run a fricking I back mid 70s to 80s big ten offense. There is no attempt to be multiple in formation, to develope a screen game/counter run plays to offset teams that come with speed off of the edge. It is infuriating to me that ULM can hang fricking 38 points on the board and our coaches can't brain storm a set of plays that will show something different to our opponents that we see year in and year out.

I'd like to see an O-coordn that has a screen pass to the running back in his repetoire.

Show me a head coach who is not intimately involved in the game plan on both sides of the ball, and I'll show you a coach that is overpaid.

Miles and the offensive coaching staff deserve some criticism for last night, as do the players for the lack of execution. It just makes me laugh how some truly believe that the only games that Miles acts as OC are the ones where we struggle on offense.

Ok genius. Which major college OC calls what ever he wants without HC approval? Exactly how long to you think that Doug Nussmeier lasts if he doesn't call the game exactly the way that Nick has planned? Do you think that any OC would dare to go rouge on Stoops or Kelley?

Damn man get real.

So in other words if we weren't as good we wouldn't win as many games........

No shite sherlock just how many years of watching football did it take you to come to that fascinating conclusion?

he thinks that throw back pass to Ware was a screen. Poor guy. He was a huge Malleveto supporter on here too.

Of course the HC has a say in everything but most let their coordinators do their job,Do you think Miles tells the Chief how to run his defense? Highly frickin' doubtful,if not for Chavis this team would have lost last night.

You literally have no evidence that anything you say is true, except for your negative emotional feelings toward Les Miles. What does a game look like when Stud calls all the plays? You obviously know what it doesn't look like, right? How do you know which plays are called by Les as opposed to Stud/Krag? Probably all the good plays are someone else, all the bad ones are Les, right?

I guess Stud is listening to lil wayne in those headphones and the papers he is looking at are coloring books. The offensive is all Les.

I predict when we have good offensive production in a game against a good opponent this season, there will be threads started along the lines of "Les finally let the offensive coaches call a game!!!1!!"

And you're letting your love of Miles blind you from being objective and realizing his strength is not with X's and O's of coaching.Any unbiased intellegent football fan would agree.

I've said Miles deserves criticism for this game in multiple threads, including this one. I just think you are talking out of your arse when you try and act like you know the dynamic of the coaching staff and their roles in the calling of plays. My proof is that you completely ignored my request for your superior knowledge on LSU game management.

Please let us know if you actually have evidence of what you say or you have some knowledge of the in game roles of the coaches. Add in some commentary on other schools, since a benchmark is imperative for your position.

How do you know this? I've read this here before but nobody seems to be able to offer any concrete proof.

I am one and I don't agree. That seems to be one of those simplistic little things people say because they heard their buddy say it and they think it makes then sound smart.

How do you know the depth of Miles X and O knowlege?

I thought the offense looked like it was poorly coached last night. They didn't look ready. However, I suspect it had more to do with the team not taking the Auburn game seriously enough in practice last week and it showed last night.

I think we will be ready for Florida.

Until our tackles pass block and our receivers catch the ball teams will stack the box. Injuries have hurt the OLine. Receivers have to step it up.

Excellent comparison IMO.Sometimes people refuse to see things for what they are.Miles is a good coach and a great recruiter.Maybe these Miles appologist need to talk to some former offensive players and recieve their input.
