Can we keep temple and the other entrenched "consultants" from the BB team now?

BR had a massive string of talent over the past decade and the best way to get them was through their ties to AAU. The Temples are highly ingrained in that culture and have been huge assets in bringing in those players. Also, you can't blame Mr. Temple for endorsing a close friend of his for a job. We have all done that, even if we had reservations. It didn't work out, so we move on. But you don't sweep aside or cast out awesome ambassadors like the Temple family.

LSU can still hire a great coach and not flush it's ambassadors down the toilet!

Plain and simple, Collis Temple has no need to have any say in a coaching hire. If they want to put him on the big screen to wave and smile, fine. But Alleva should take zero input from him, Dale Brown, or anyone else not in the athletic department unless he hires a consulting firm

1) It's not good to alienate former players, regardless of who they are, especially when they do care about the program.
2) that doesn't mean the AD should let them run the program.
3) Alleva is terrible and only hires coaches that don't require him to do too much work.
4) Alleva is terrible.

Collis Temple has crossed the line with regards to "consulting" for a coaching hire, more than a few times. There were times when arrogance comes into play. Look back at all the recent hires: what actual good has his consulting been for the program, absent that one short stretch where the local players he coached did make a difference. And that was the players, not the coach.

There is much more to Temple and Dale getting JJ the job. They didn't just say hey Joe I think JJ is a great candidate.

They strong armed their way, and rampant rumors indicate they would never endorse another recruit to play for LSU. There are a few posters on here that know exactly what transpired, they will probably divulge more info after JJ is gone

Again If they care for the program they shouldnt throw tantrums when things do go how they want.

Collis Temple is not entitled to have his friends become HC at LSU.
Nor is LSU required to persist with program-endangering stupidity because Mr. Temple was the victim of racism while a student at LSU.
The best way to show Dale and Temple that we appreciate their contributions to the university is to elevate the BB program, not destroy it.

.....show them the fking door. They've done quite enough for the program I would think in recent years.

less than 2 fricks given.....doesn't entitle him to meddle with the hiring of coaches or player personnel.

Good luck, by now you should have figured out that if you don't get on board with the fire JJ train, you can expet a down vote. No use explaining anything its fire JJ or have a downvote lol
