Can we finally put the Jimbo Fisher love fest to pasture?

Jimbo is not much different than Les Miles coming to a powerhouse program, and leeching off its prowess. The Coach O haters were all in from the beginning for Fisher as though he is some kind of guru. He ain't.

GOOOOOOOO TIGERS!!!!!!! GOOOOOOOO COACH O!!!!!

Yep.

One great season with a heisman QB, and a bunch of good seasons.

ETA: plus, many seem to forget that we couldn't wait for Jimbo to leave when he was here.

He turned around what was a stale program.

As a fan base, you have to admit we run pretty hot and cold with lightning fast switches between the two on coaches.

On one set of downs, you can see LSU fans calling for a coaches head, then wanting him to get a raise

Jimbo is a great coach, but let's be real, Saban is just better. Same story, different year.

If we use the same method to compare a career then why is Coach O getting a pass?

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. LSU will not entertain Jimbo Fisher again if CEO doesn't work out.

He failed pretty miserably at Ole Miss. The failures on the Rant can't understand that some other people can learn from their mistakes.

Ole Miss?!!! Really? Damn, I was praying Ole Miss would be stupid enough to hire Les Miles this go round.

Ole Miss, you say?

I really don't think anyone hates O, it was more of just wanting a coach that has won before. I will admit though that O is off to a fantastic start and things look pretty damn good right now. It was so refreshing to see a team that looked crisp and organized.

Because it's his fault his quarterback got hurt?

Who the hell hates O? Nobody! I think we could have gotten a better hire, but I love the guy.

I want it to work out, both for LSU and him. How great would it be to have a championship coach where LSU was his dream job?

Coach O has learned. He's got a 100% win percentage as a full time HC at LSU. He has redeemed himself. Now let's give Jimbo a chance to learn from his mistakes and hire him.

Forgive me for appreciating what Nick Saban did here. We don't have two national championships if he hadn't come to LSU. He won one and set the foundation for the other. Les Miles coached well here from 2005-07, was scarred by '08 and decided to embrace 1975 Michigan offensive philosophy after 2008. He's not the same caliber of coach as Saban and Fisher, and so far, neither is Orgeron.

I'm sorry you have mental inadequacies to the point where you can't use logic and recognize Saban and Fisher are excellent coaches. And I'm sorry this view also conflicts with your apparent view that Orgeron has put up a stellar resume as a head coach.

When Orgeron beats Alabama and wins an SEC title, I will give him credit and forget about his resume. Until then, I'm skeptical and a 6-2 record as LSU interim head coach with losses to Alabama and an undermanned Florida nor a 27-0 win against BYU in game 1 is going to remove the skepticism.

Now go outside and play and let the adults do the talking.
