Can we criticize Johnson for that move or no?

There is absolutely no reason that Little should be an option before Blake Money. This entire board saw that coming. But you’ll still have people on here saying that we can’t criticize Jay because we aren’t at practice everyday or some other bullshite like that.

I mean LSU need little to be good. Jay has to give him chances to prove he can be dependable in post season. But I’d have to imagine those chances are a lot over now. Might see him in Hoover, no way he pitches in a game that’s not an absolute blowout in regionals and beyond though.

I believe putting Little in was his last chance to earn innings going forward. I doubt we see him again this year.

This right here. He didn’t bring Little on with the game in the balance, nor the series in balance. Little gave up a run that we got back the next inning, plus he was pulled pretty quick so the damage was minimal. We need dudes to eat innings and don’t have the luxury of depth.

You have to get to the point where we are tied or leading first. I’d rather him not see the field unless we are completely out of pitchers or it’s a 10+ run game.

Not like there are a ton of options.
You’re down 3 and anticipate more scoring on both sides. You want to save some options for end of game flexibility
