A few disconnected comments:

1. Old time = before Herschel and Bo. It would be Johnny Musso for Bama meeting Tommy Casanova at the sideline with Musso getting knocked out of the game. Defense first of all wins games. We have that.
2. I agree with short passes as needed but I hate keeping everything below the safeties, so I like the longer ones, especially over the middle, as well. To do so, I'd like to see Peyton Manning in Mettenberger this week. Give him the green light to check off the play when there are 9 in the box. We need to play smart and Bama will be off-balance.
3. Zone read with one of our speedy backs in at QB to open up the outside?
4. Our freshman side of the line has produced a lot of the longer runs. I hope to see the clock run, to see our defense rested, to see Saban sweating, and to see Tiger Stadium rocking.
