Program has become stagnant. Other programs are seeming to get better while we either remain the same or take a step backward. Team plays with no fire, just going through the motions. They play with that hum drum Mainieri demeanor. Last 5 years top 8 national seed 5 times. 2 trips to Omaha 0-2 and 1-2, twice lost in Super Regional, once to Stony Brook and once to College of Charleston, once lost in Regional to Houston. Is a bad manager of pitchers especially leaving them in too long. Don't blame Dunn for that that's CPM's call all the way. I've heard people say who out there is better. With that kind of reasoning we'd still have Les. In fact people blamed Les for only 1 NC in 11 years with all of that talent. Using the same argument we have 1 NC since CPM has been here with arguably some of the best talent year in and year out and he doesn habe to play Saban every year. Now we can't even win mid-week games against in state schools. CPM has done OK but it's time to move on. What's going to end up happening if a change isn't made soon is that the top players are going to start going other places. We can't keep getting them year after year if the program doesn't produce. I'm starting to feel a Smoke situation starting.

Just about everything you said I agree with. My problem is that some of that fair, expected criticism, even from generally positive fans, is met with the same "you're a dumbass, you know nothing about baseball, you're a cuck" responses reserved for the truly miserable negas. And IMO that's just as bad.

" comes across as insecure and petty "

So, it's OK to have thread after thread after thread for the last three months calling out this team and this staff by some, but calling out the continually negative crowd when they have been proven wrong bout the teama is petty and old ???

I'm thinking that if you are going to be loosing your water bout this team most of the yr, you should have the sand to fess up to the fact they proved you wrong without getting all sensitive.

There have been times; stealing when a catcher has a cannon arm at what "I" consider inopportune times and pulling a pitcher that is on a roll.

But dammed it is hard to argue with the success this bunch is having...what a group!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul is also a bad in game motivator. A good part of baseball is getting your players to perform and knowing when to push the right buttons. How many times have you seen a PM LSU baseball team play loose? How many times in big games especially?

I never said it was OK, did I?

Yes, there were a lot of negative threads, and they got old.
Now there are a lot of "told you so" threads/bumps. They're getting old.

Most of the rant has just become a pissing match between posis and negas. It's pretty pathetic.

Who me? You're welcome to read my post history-I've always supported this team.

CPM is two wins away from a championship. If he wins it and THEN gets fired, the Rant' s dream will have been fulfilled, and we'll deserve the karma that would follow.

I admit guilt. I did not believe that this team would be two wins away from a national championship. I gave up on the players and coach Mainieri.

I was too pessimistic and I doubted their heart to persevere. I was wrong and I apologize to the players and staff. It has taught me to not give up on others or myself. Life is too short. I was critical of Coach Mainieri in April and now I am the one looking foolish . I will not make that mistake again.

4 players turned down MLB to come back. We didn't "lose" our offense. THIS was suppose to the "the" year to make a run.

Did you call out those posters for their negative threads and bitch about it like you're doing to the "told you so" posters in this thread?

Your post sounds like all the bash Les Miles posts. You folks come running into the "bad-mouth Miles" threads like fat boys to the dinner table, calling him names and making fun of him and very few posters chime in to say something positive about the guy, but once someone does, Dozens of you Miles haters start going on and on about how it's time to stop giving the guy attention.

This thread is no different. People wanted to crap all over CPM and the teams accomplishments, and that was a-ok with you people. Now that they've reached the championship series and posters all calling out the dumbasses, you get offended.

I'm not saying your a bad fan. All I'm saying is the people that wanted to fire Mainieri so early in the season and the ones that were 100% convinced that LSU wouldn't even make it out of a regional or a super regional, should be called out to eat crow.

I never even opened those threads. They're not worth it. Try it sometime.

Well done admitting your mistake in dogging out a 20 year old student athlete. Sorry I missed it, but I have a job and a life and can't keep up with the twenty or so threads you start every day. Now how about you bump the numerous times you said you were done with this team. Lots of ones to pick from, you bandwagon hopping tool.
