Can someone explain to me why this is a good hire?

He was fired from Miami in the 90s for being a drunken mess. (Felony Battery which was dropped)
He was fired from Ole Miss because he lost control of his program and continually recruited kids who could not qualify. (And more importantly he didn't win AT ALL)
And after he was passed over as USC's next head coach (He did a great job there), he wasn't even considered to be a defensive coordinator ANYWHERE, let alone a head coach.
So someone explain why this is good.

I have nothing against O, can't blame a man for chasing his dream job.

No one can explain to you what you do not know about why LSU hired Ed Orgeron, are you kidding us?
