Receivers as a group are hurting him too some; they aren't getting seperation 1-on-1. Too many coverage sacks/pressures, even with 3 or 4 routes. For the record, some of it is Jennings reads and poor choices when he rolls out because of limited options.

Maybe so, but he's not doing a good job hitting his targets when WRs ARE open.

And some of him getting sacked is due no doubt to good coverage, but no way ALL of it. He can't make reads, panics when his primary receiver isn't open, and either gets sacked or takes off running prematurely.

Truth hurts. Don't know why this is still a problem. Even the AD should see this as an issue.

Good point. The AD needs to get his butt out of that luxury box and get down on the field and help out.

I had to listen on the radio for most of the game and Gordy rush was saying the coaches were screwing him by getting the calls in too late. He is the best we have right now and the one who should be playing.

Jennings missed throws all over the field, his running ability left a lot to be desired and his read progression was terrible.

I just want to know why Jennings gets so much more leash than Harris.

I think the furthest the leash has been out has been in the Auburn game for Harris. If Jennings didn't get hurt against Miss State, who knows? If Harris doesn't get hurt against Auburn, who knows? It seems to me that they are talking a lot about both qbs contributing, but have little plan of how to put that together and really just let one guy play.

I'd like both QBs to play.

cam called plays on the sideline for years in the NFL, but miles thinks he can't call plays on the sideline at LSU?

something is off... i don't get it... two young QB's out there playing poorly, and whoever is on the bench is disengaged and bored. I wish someone was on the field in the qb's ear at every opportunity.

That's Brad K's job. I don't know what we do when he leaves

I won't not remotely call what he did Saturday as playing well. If you mean relatively speaking because he wasn't god awful, then maybe. He had 13 yards passing at halftime. He also had under 50% completion and didn't do much of anything until the fourth qtr. However, he did not turn the ball over.

Say what?

Did well in his first true road game as a starting qb. Came back from 10 point deficit at the swamp, late 4th quarter drive... he did well.

I can't understand why this is such an issue, at LSU. It's been going on for years now.

Want to see calls come in late and destructive use of TO's?

Watch the 49ers play tonight. It is unreal.

And almost every LSU fan I know would take Harbaugh over Miles at this second.

He didn't play pretty, but he played well. Its not like he showed improvement, but he didn't put us in bad situations, and showed up when we needed him to.

We played UF the almost exact same way last year. It was very conservative and made their offense try and beat us.

It's been going on at a lot of places. It's hard. The coach upstairs has to look at the substitutions coming on the field before he can decide exactly what play to call. Then he calls it over the wire to the sidelines, and they have to signal it to the QB - in code.
Aren't the millions we pay to coaches enough to get past "hard" things like getting the play call in in a timely manner?

The alternative is to call plays quickly and just miss out on some matchups and alignment advantages.
Or just have a call ready based on who you expect to be in the game (ie players on field from last play). If there are unexpected subs then change the play on the "check with sideline".

If you are waiting to see who the defense subs in before making your play call then you are doing it wrong. Or are you insinuating that Cam has to wait to see if Les subbed out his running back and receivers?

That's what I'm saying. It's a collective problem, that can only get better with more experience.

Reads?? You mean him staring at Dural waiting him to come open?

He threw it to Quinn several times as a second option on rollouts. . He also checked it down to Melvin Jones several times.

He needs time to develop, as does the rest of the team.

It's like an away game in Tiger Stadium for LSU these days. We certainly have more jackasses than the average fan base.
We have to start shaming these people. They are fricking morons who need to be told to be adults.
