Sitting in the Library and I can hear the band practicing Some Nights by Fun. Hopefully it's just a halftime show and won't be a regular thing.

The Bengal Brass played it late last year as a stand tune. I think it's supposed to be like that. Dr. Dennis Ilnas (2nd band director) knocked it out of the park with that arrangement.

If its not playing as the lead-in to the opening kickoff for the rest of the home games this season, I will be supremely disappointed.
Absolute perfect use of canned music, done while the band cannot possibly be playing, and something that gets the team JACKED.

I was sitting right next to the Auburn band, so I didn't hear what song was being played, but I can testify that whatever song was being played immediately before the opening kickoff had the entire student section jumping, and many of the players on the LSU bench were jumping up and down. I made the sarcastic comment, "Just a little bit more excitement tonight than for Kent State."
