I'm confused. Do you want us to forget about it or remember it?

We dodged a bullet. For once, LSU came out on the good side of a situation

But what if Tom Herman was the next Saban, and not the next Sumlin? We're fricked.

We've become quite delusional..
Herman has like 4 losses as a head coach.. He also NEVER lost a game as an underdog. O never had less than 4 in a season (where he wasn't an interim).

I'm not saying that it COULD/Might work out better, but saying that now is "head in the sand" type stuff.

Or maybe my sarcasm meter is broken..

He wanted the LSU job until Texas became available. He is the real deal. The Texas loss to TCU will sting more than the Ok St loss to Iowa State in 2011.

Dark, dark day.

if Tejas had kept Strong, Herman would probably have come to LSU. my problem with him is that when Tejas did come open, would he have jumped? i'll bet he would and would have screwed us bad.

People will feel better when he flops at texas and coach O goes something like 11-1.

intentions were to take the job then Texas came calling. Unfortunate for those who wanted Herman considering how close it was to happening

Herman will do great at Texas, this guy will recruit well and with the talent Texas can bring in the Longhorns will prosper under Herman.

Game day coaching and motivation Herman is light years ahead of Sumlin.

At the high end level it boils down to recruiting and recruiting at a high level for each position.

My thoughts are Herman was never coming to LSU with Texas in the picture, the only thing we could have done was to stay in the picture a while longer and make Texas pay more money.

What if Coach O is the next Dabo? He, too, was a lowly position coach before being promoted.
